Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and remodeling debris

Special rules apply

Construction debris is not named as a bulky or special collection item, and special collection pricing varies by size and quantity.

City cost & eligibility
Tyler publishes a special collection service that starts at $20 and varies by size and quantity along with a bulky list naming carpet and fencing material, but no page retained here names construction or demolition debris as a service or publishes a rate for it. Call the Solid Waste Office on (903) 531-1388 for a quote, and ask the landfill on (903) 566-5007 about self-hauling a covered load with a current utility bill.
When & how
Confirm the service and the fee first, then either book a special collection or haul the load to Greenwood Farms during its published hours.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the brush pile and the household bulky pile, cover the load if it is going to the landfill because state law requires it, and expect the gate to weigh or price the load.

Twice weekly collection with a six in the morning curb time

Tyler collects household trash twice a week by half of the city: the northern portion is served Monday and Thursday and the southern portion Tuesday and Friday. Containers go to the curb no later than 6 a.m. on the collection day, and Ordinance 16.4.c requires them out no earlier than 6 p.m. the day before and removed by 6 a.m. the morning after collection. Cart replacement, repair and replacement requests go through the Solid Waste Office on (903) 531-1388 and can take three to five business days.

Bulky waste is booked, not simply set out

Two bulky pick-ups each calendar year are free for a household on the curbside service, booked through the online bulky item pickup form, with the crew arriving within five business days. The pile has to stay within 6 to 8 cubic yards, and the named bulky items are furniture, appliances, carpet, fencing material, old toys and other large items. Brush and tires are not included in the free pick-up, and a pile over eight cubic yards or anything on the special list is charged as a special collection that starts at $20 and varies by size and quantity. Once a crew has collected on a street, more bulky items wait for another request.

The special collection list and the curb notification rule

Special collections cover bulky items, tires, bulk brush and other material too large for normal pick-ups for residents and commercial customers, scheduled first come first served, with pricing from $20 upward by size and quantity. Bundled limbs under 50 pounds and four feet are free, and passenger tires without rims start at $5 each. Bulk brush is brush that is unbundled, longer than four feet or over 50 pounds, and more than 25 leaf bags also counts as a special pick-up, with household bulk waste and bulk brush collected in separate piles at least two feet apart. Discarded property such as furniture, clothing or appliances put at the curb requires notification to the Solid Waste Office under Ordinance Sec. 16-4; without it the city leaves a door hanger warning, and property out more than two days with no contact draws a special pick-up and an automatic charge.

Haul the load to Greenwood Farms Landfill

A Tyler resident with a covered load of garbage or other material that the curbside route will not take.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes the resident rules and the utility bill requirement but no gate rate, and other customers pay a rate the landfill quotes on request, so call (903) 566-5007 for the current charge.
Arrange it
Go to 12920 Farm to Market Road 2767, five miles east of Loop 323, Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Saturday 6:30 a.m. to Noon, with a current utility bill for resident use.

Loads of garbage must be covered under state law, the published resident rules apply only to City of Tyler residents, non-residents pay the gate rate, and small quantities of household hazardous waste of 32 ounces or less are handled through the garbage rules rather than the gate.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Tyler means Greenwood Farms Landfill at 12920 Farm to Market Road 2767, the Old Kilgore Highway about five miles east of Loop 323. The site is owned by the City of Tyler and operated by Republic Services, opens Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to Noon, and closes Sunday, with questions on (903) 566-5007. The published resident rules apply only to City of Tyler residents and a current utility bill is required for landfill use, while other customers may still use the site by paying the gate rate the landfill quotes on request, and state law requires loads of garbage to be covered on the way. Small amounts of household hazardous waste, 32 ounces or less, are meant to go out with the household garbage instead. Fluorescent bulbs should be taped together and set beside the garbage cart, paint must be dried before it goes to the curb, and automotive, lawnmower and tractor batteries, motor oil and antifreeze go to the free Downtown Recycle Center, with rechargeable batteries accepted at Batteries Plus on Broadway for a fee and TCEQ on (903) 535-5100 for anything else. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Tyler.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Tyler?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Tyler?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Tyler?

There is no published service for it. Tyler's bulky list names carpet and fencing material rather than construction or demolition debris, and the special collection service, which carries a starting price that varies by size and quantity, is described for bulky items, tires, bulk brush and similar oversized material. Call the Solid Waste Office on (903) 531-1388 for a quote, and ask Greenwood Farms Landfill on (903) 566-5007 about hauling a covered load with a current utility bill.Official guidance

What happens with brush, limbs and tires?

They are special collection items rather than free bulky material. Bulk brush is brush that is unbundled, longer than four feet or over 50 pounds, and limbs, tree stumps and more than 25 leaf bags also fall into the special pick-up list, with pricing that starts at $20 and varies by size and quantity. Bundled limbs under 50 pounds and four feet are collected free, and passenger tires without rims start at $5 each and rise with size and condition. Household bulk waste and brush need separate piles at least two feet apart.Official guidance
