$10 per appliance at the Citizens Convenience Station under the appliances, mattresses and large household items line for Waxahachie residents. Waxahachie residents with photo identification and proof of residency, paying cash or check only, with the curbside route limited to one bulk item of 50 pounds or less a year and refusing items that contain freon.
When & how
Take the unit to the Citizens Convenience Station on Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or use the annual curbside bulky item for a unit of 50 pounds or less with no freon.
Get it ready
Empty the unit and secure the doors and drum, keep a freon unit off the curbside allowance because that route refuses refrigerants, and confirm with the station before hauling a cooling appliance.
Garbage goes out bagged with no more than 10 bags a day and each bag no more than 35 pounds, and the service refuses bins and cans at the curb.
