Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Special rules apply

The City publishes no television or electronics route on the pages that could be read, so a household has to confirm how the set is handled before it is put out.

City cost & eligibility
No readable City page states whether a television is taken by the payload bulk service, and the landfill page refuses hazardous material and tires without mentioning electronics, so call the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 and ask before the set is placed at the curb.
When & how
Before setting the set out, ask the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 where it is accepted, and only place it at the curb once the route is confirmed.
Get it ready
Keep the television out of the household cart, ask for the accepted route first, and do not put it in the payload bulk pile until the Sanitation Office confirms that the material is accepted.

Twice a week trash routes split at the Kell Freeway

The City collects household trash twice a week, with Monday and Thursday for addresses north of the Kell Freeway and Tuesday and Friday for addresses south of it. Containers go out no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, the cart is set at the curb clear of power lines and tree limbs with the wheels facing the house, and the ordinance requires limbs near the collection point to be trimmed to the published clearance so the automated vehicle is not damaged.

Landfill loads have to be secured

City ordinance requires every load taken to the landfill to be secured, and an unsecured load can draw a fine. The landfill at 10984 Wiley Road refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and it charges construction and demolition material and organic material by weight for loads that do not come from the household's own primary residence.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Wichita Falls means the City landfill at 10984 Wiley Road, reached by taking Seymour Highway west toward Seymour to Highway 258 at the Kamay Y, continuing west about a mile and turning north on Wiley Road for two miles. Dumping from the household's own primary residence is free of charge with a valid ID and active account information, while a load from any other property or from outside the city pays 31.60 dollars per ton for construction and demolition material and 20.30 dollars per ton for organic material such as grass clippings and tree limbs. The landfill refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and every load has to be secured because the city ordinance allows a fine. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Wichita Falls.

How much does TV removal cost in Wichita Falls?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Wichita Falls?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where does a television go?

The City does not publish a television route on the pages that could be read, and the landfill refuses hazardous material and tires without naming electronics, so call the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 and confirm whether the set goes on the payload bulk pile or somewhere else before it is put out.Official guidance

Which items does the City name for the bulky service?

The published examples are bulky waste, home furnishing such as chairs, tables, couches and mattresses, white goods or appliances such as washers, dryers and stoves, and construction and demolition debris such as carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes. White goods have to be separated from the rest so a vehicle with a mechanical boom and grapple can lift them, and exercise equipment and electronics are not on the list, so those need to be confirmed with the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977.Official guidance

What does the residential account include?

The residential schedule lists a monthly minimum for curb cart service of 18.27 dollars, alley dumpster service at 27.30 dollars a month, and carry-out service at 46.25 dollars from ten to fifty feet, 56.50 dollars from fifty to one hundred feet and 67.10 dollars beyond one hundred feet, with a weekly recycling container fee of 3.32 dollars that is not collected on holidays. Containers go out by 7 a.m. on the collection day with the wheels facing the house.Official guidance
