Cooling appliances are the one household category every Snohomish County facility refuses. Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and heat pumps are all prohibited, and no Edmonds hauler publishes a price for collecting them, so the route has to be arranged.

The Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station at 21311 61st Place West in Mountlake Terrace is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. apart from New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and bills a flat minimum for loads under 360 pounds or a per ton rate above it, with customers unloading their own vehicles. Household sofas, appliances, mattresses, doors, carpets and rugs are accepted as garbage, tires are limited to five a day in passenger and pickup sizes, and electronics, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heat pumps, liquid waste and yard debris are refused.

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own.
