Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Bulky item collection

Accepted with preparation

Large items are collected on call, and a single-family household gets one no-cost bulky collection a year up to three pieces or one cubic yard.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. A single-family customer is entitled to one annual no-cost collection of up to three pieces of bulky waste or up to one cubic yard of garbage, provided no individual item, bag or box is larger than three feet by three feet. Service charges and disposal or recycling fees apply to anything beyond that allowance.
When & how
Book the collection in advance by calling 425-552-1008 or using the online service portal, then put the items at the curb by seven in the morning on the scheduled pickup date. The operator says items go out on the regular collection day, and only items that were scheduled may be placed at the curb.
Get it ready
Keep the load inside the three feet by three feet item limit and inside the allowance so the collection stays in the free one, and keep unscheduled items off the curb. The operator names sofas and chairs, mattresses and box springs, refrigerators and freezers, and washing machines as examples of what the service takes.

Construction and remodeling material

Special rules apply

Construction material is not part of the curbside carts, so a project load has to go to a disposal site the city's own lookup names.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no household construction rate, and the receiving site sets its own gate price for the load, so confirm the current charge before the material moves.
When & how
Arrange the drop-off trip before the work starts and keep the material off the curb and out of the carts.
Get it ready
Keep construction and demolition material out of the three carts, separate clean loads where the receiving site asks for it, and use the city's Waste Buster tool or the county what to do with lookup to name the site that takes a specific material before hauling it.

Book the on-call bulky collection

A Redmond household with a couch, mattress, appliance or another item too large for a cart.

Cost & conditions
No charge. One collection a year is free for a single-family customer, up to three pieces or one cubic yard, as long as no item, bag or box exceeds three feet by three feet, and anything beyond that carries the operator's service and disposal or recycling charges.
Arrange it
Call 425-552-1008 or use the online service portal to book the collection, then set the items at the curb by seven in the morning on the scheduled pickup date.

Only scheduled items may be placed at the curb, the collection happens on the regular collection day, and the operator asks households to donate a usable sofa or table rather than send it to the landfill.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Redmond means the King County household chemical sites, the Recology Store and the county drop-off lookup. Household hazardous waste goes free and without an appointment to a King County collection site: the Factoria site at 13800 Southeast 32nd Street in Bellevue, open Tuesday to Friday eight to four and Saturday and Sunday nine to five, or the North Seattle site at 12550 Stone Avenue North, open Sunday to Tuesday nine to five, both closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, with a traveling Wastemobile from February to October and a free home collection program by appointment as further options. Hard to recycle items that are not household chemicals, such as bulbs, batteries, textiles, hardcover books, small electronics, block foam and bicycles, can be dropped at the Recology Store at 8862 161st Avenue Northeast, Tuesday to Saturday ten to six and Sunday ten to five, free for Recology residential customers within the quantities the store takes. For construction and any other material, the City's Waste Buster page and the county what to do with lookup name the site that takes the load, which is why a project load has to be routed before it is moved. Televisions, computers, laptops, monitors, tablets, e-readers and portable DVD players can also be taken to a registered E-Cycle Washington collector free of charge. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Redmond.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Redmond?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Redmond?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How much bulky waste can a Redmond household set out for free?

One collection a year, of up to three pieces of bulky waste or up to one cubic yard of garbage, as long as no single item, bag or box is larger than three feet by three feet. Everything beyond that allowance carries service charges and disposal or recycling fees, so confirm the cost when the collection is booked.Official guidance

How do I schedule a bulky item pickup in Redmond?

Call the operator on 425-552-1008 or use the online service portal to book the collection, then set the items at the curb by seven in the morning on the scheduled date. Only scheduled items may be placed out, and the operator notes that the load goes out on your regular collection day.Official guidance

Will Redmond take construction debris at the curb?

Not with the three carts. The city's Waste Buster page points to the county drop-off lookup for a specific material, so name the site that takes the load before anything moves and confirm the receiving site's price.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Redmond?

Recology King County collects residential garbage, recycling and compost under a city contract, and the City points residents to Recology for billing questions, cart issues and service requests. Call 425-552-1008 or email Redmond@recology.com, or use the online service portal to manage carts and book a bulky item collection.Official guidance
