Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and demolition material

Not on the regular city route

Concrete and building construction and demolition materials are on the not accepted list for the free bulky pickup, so a project load goes to a transfer station where the operator publishes the disposal rates.

City cost & eligibility
From $14.83 per cubic yard where the cubic yard rate applies at a Columbia Resource Company transfer station, with the per ton rate at $118.65. A $10.00 transaction fee is charged per trip in addition to the disposal rate and the 3.6 percent state gross receipts tax applies to every disposal transaction, and the rates are set by the Clark County contract with Columbia Resource Company.
When & how
At a Columbia Resource Company transfer station during its open hours, since the city bulky programme refuses this material.
Get it ready
Keep construction material off the bulky pile and out of the carts, secure the load, and note that the station adds a transaction fee to every trip and a state gross receipts tax on every disposal transaction. Delivering containers are not returned at West Vancouver.

What stays off the bulky pile

Yard debris, tires, concrete and construction or demolition material, electronic waste including computers, televisions and cell phones, anything that may contain asbestos, household hazardous waste including bulbs, paint and chemicals, and anything containing freon are all refused in the city bulky programme. Those loads go to a transfer station or a household hazardous waste window instead.

Columbia Resource Company rates

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-hauling from Vancouver runs to the Columbia Resource Company transfer stations that operate under the Clark County contract. At the West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center on Old Lower River Road, disposal is charged at $118.65 per ton or $14.83 per cubic yard where that rate applies, with a $10 transaction fee per trip and the 3.6 percent state gross receipts tax on every disposal transaction. Special handling adds $24.91 for a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner, nothing extra for televisions and monitors, and a few dollars per tire with a $6.46 minimum and no transaction fee on the first four tires brought in separately, while 100 percent yard debris gets a lower per ton rate and no transaction fee. Household hazardous waste is free at the Washougal location on the first and third Saturday of the month, and the West Vancouver site runs its hazardous waste window on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., accepts no business hazardous waste, does not return containers, and asks customers to check traffic before driving. The free city bulky pickup remains the cheapest route for furniture, mattresses, carpet, sinks and exercise equipment. Construction and demolition material is accepted for disposal, charged per ton or per cubic yard depending on the load.

A transaction fee is added to every trip and the state gross receipts tax applies, material that may contain asbestos has its own handling rules, and containers used to deliver material are not returned.

The household hazardous waste window at this site runs Friday and Saturday only from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the operator prints the hazardous waste hours rather than the general transfer station window in the retained body, so confirm the rest on 360-737-1727 before a trip.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Vancouver.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Vancouver?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Vancouver?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Vancouver?

Not on the free bulky pickup, which refuses concrete and building construction and demolition materials. The load goes to a Columbia Resource Company transfer station instead, where disposal is charged per ton or per cubic yard with a transaction fee added to every trip and the 3.6 percent state gross receipts tax applied to the transaction.Official guidance

How does the Vancouver bulky item pickup work?

City residents with active Waste Connections garbage service get one free curbside pickup each calendar year covering up to five items, each weighing less than 100 pounds. The request is made through the RecycleRight app or web tool by choosing the chair icon and a date, and the items go to the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day, clear of traffic, bike lanes and sidewalks.Official guidance

What will the Vancouver bulky pickup not take?

Yard debris, tires, concrete and construction or demolition material, electronic waste including computers, televisions and cell phones, anything potentially containing asbestos, household hazardous waste such as bulbs, paint and chemicals, and anything containing freon such as a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner. Those loads go to a transfer station or a hazardous waste window instead.Official guidance
