Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Computers and televisions never go in the garbage or the recycling cart, and King County states they have not been accepted at its transfer stations since October 1, 2005, so the routes are the free E-Cycle Washington collection sites and the wider Take it Back Network.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Authorized E-Cycle Washington collection sites recycle computers, laptops, monitors and televisions free for a household, while electronics outside that program carry a recycler's fee through a Take it Back Network member, and the county tells a household to call the vendor to confirm the current cost.
When & how
Take the device to an authorized E-Cycle Washington collection site or a Take it Back Network member, and confirm the site's hours and terms before you travel.
Get it ready
Wipe stored data before the device leaves the house, keep the power supply with the device, and keep computers, televisions and batteries out of both carts, because the hauler's guide lists them among the items kept out of the garbage and out of the recycling.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Woodinville has no municipal collection contract, so curbside service is a subscription with Waste Management, the hauler the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission has established for the area, on 1-800-592-9995. Garbage is collected weekly, recycling every other week on the garbage day and yard and food waste weekly for a subscriber, and the carts go out by 6 am two feet apart with the lids opening toward the street and at least three feet from cars, trees, mailboxes and utility boxes. Anything beyond the cart is a charged extra, and a mattress, a large appliance, a couch or building material goes out only through the hauler's special pickup, arranged for a fee quoted on request. The disposal side is King County, and the Houghton station in Kirkland at 11724 NE 60th Street names Woodinville among the areas it serves, with Shoreline at 2300 N 165th Street the other northern option. Houghton is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with a twenty-five foot combined vehicle and trailer limit, and Shoreline is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with a forty foot limit. Both sort corrugated cardboard for recycling, Shoreline also sorts clean wood, scrap metal and yard waste, and both take a mattress or box spring, with recycling for a handling fee at Shoreline and disposal at a higher rate at Houghton. Major appliances are recycled rather than disposed, computers and televisions are not accepted at all, tires are limited to four passenger tires per customer with none from businesses, and the twenty-five dollar unsecured load fee applies to any unsecured load. Payment is by credit card, cash or Apple Pay, and a customer with a ProviderOne, EBT or ORCA LIFT card takes twenty dollars off each type of waste on each visit through the Cleanup LIFT discount. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Woodinville.

How much does TV removal cost in Woodinville?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Woodinville?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Woodinville?

Not in either cart. The hauler's guide keeps computers, televisions and batteries out of the garbage and out of the recycling, and King County states that computers, monitors, televisions and cell phones have not been accepted at its transfer stations since October 1, 2005. Authorized E-Cycle Washington collection sites recycle computers, laptops, monitors and televisions free, electronics outside that program carry a recycler's fee through the Take it Back Network, and the county's What do I do with tool lists the rest.Official guidance

What will Woodinville not take in the garbage or the recycling?

Hazardous waste, medical waste, syringes, fluorescent bulbs, fuel tanks, liquids, computers, televisions and batteries are kept out of the garbage, and plastic bags, foam cups and packaging, diapers, shredded paper, aluminum foil and broken dishes, ceramics and window glass are kept out of the recycling cart. King County does not accept major appliances for disposal except dishwashers that are at least half plastic, does not accept computers or televisions at all, refuses tires from businesses and refuses large truck tires.Official guidance
