The local disposal guide

Will the city
take it?

Huntington collects household garbage at the curb Monday through Friday on seven daily routes run by the City's Sanitation and Trash Division. On top of that, the City allows one free bulky pickup each month as long as the load fits in an eight-foot pickup truck, and larger loads move to a special pickup that the City assesses and prices before it collects. Yard waste rides along with the weekly garbage as long as it is bagged. Curbside recycling is separate and voluntary, sold as a subscription through Rumpke.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Huntington does not publish a city drop-off site, so self hauling starts with confirming a route.
