Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Drop e-waste at the Recycling Center

White County residents with a television, computer, camera or similar electronic item that must be brought in rather than set at the curb.

The city publishes the accepted e-waste items but no fee. Confirm the item and any current charge at (501) 279-1000.
Arrange it
Take the item to 409 W. Beebe Capps Expressway during drop-off hours, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm, Wednesday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8am to noon.

Electronics are never picked up at the curb and are refused at the Keep White County Beautiful Day, so the drop-off center is the city route for them.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Searcy runs the routes for this address through its own Sanitation Department, and the city-issued container is only for bagged household trash. Furniture, appliances and scrap metal go to the department's twice-yearly Keep White County Beautiful Day, and a large cleanout can go into a city roll-off bin rented from the department. Leaves and limbs never ride with the garbage: the ward brush truck takes them at the curb, or residents can drop them at the compost center on North Main with a current water bill. Televisions, computers and cameras have to be brought to the Recycling Center on Beebe Capps Expressway, because electronics are never picked up at the curb. E-waste is brought in and is never collected at the curb. Recycling is open to all White County residents, but butter and whipped topping tubs, auto fluid, pesticide, herbicide and pool chemical bottles, gas cans, wet paint and aerosol cans, construction or dark papers, waxed or frozen food and beverage cartons and wet paper are refused. Keep paper dry and rinse bottles and cans, and leave lids off bottles.

Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm, Wednesday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8am to noon.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Searcy.

How much does TV removal cost in Searcy?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Searcy?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Searcy residents take televisions and computers?

To the Searcy Recycling Center at 409 W. Beebe Capps Expressway, which accepts televisions, computers and cameras. These items are not picked up at the curb, and the center is open Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm, Wednesday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8am to noon. The twice-yearly Keep White County Beautiful Day refuses electronics.Official guidance
