Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

City cost & eligibility
The city does not collect construction and demolition debris at the curb; the material moves through the franchise hauler's container service, and the city publishes no rate, so the price comes from CR&R.
When & how
Order the container from CR&R, the only authorized hauler for construction and demolition waste in the city. A container on the public right of way also needs a Public Property Encroachment Permit and a certificate of insurance, while a container in a private driveway does not.
Get it ready
Projects subject to the requirement are all permitted new building and demolition projects, all permitted non-residential additions and alterations, permitted residential additions and alterations that increase the conditioned area, volume or size, and demolition-only projects, and each has to meet at least 65 per cent diversion with the waste management status reported before final approval. Universal waste such as batteries, e-waste, lamps, cathode ray tubes and aerosol cans from construction also has to be diverted.
Electronic waste and hazardous waste never go in a cart
Electronic waste, meaning anything with a circuit board or a battery, may not go in the trash, recycling or green cart, and neither may household hazardous waste. Electronic waste is collected by arrangement with CR&R at (877) 728-0446, while hazardous waste goes to a certified collection centre, with the nearest named at the Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. Sharps follow state law and go to a centre in an approved container, with free mail-back containers available.
