Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction and demolition material is refused at every curbside stream. The trash cart refuses construction debris, concrete and dirt and rocks, the organics cart refuses construction debris, and the hauler states that bulky items do not include construction and demolition waste.

City cost & eligibility
No city construction debris program or rate is published. The material goes to a county operated landfill as a permitted self-haul load or through a private hauler, so confirm the accepted material and the price with the city Solid Waste Coordinator at (951) 461-6448 or with the receiving facility before the load moves.
When & how
Keep the material off the curb on collection day. A household that holds a city self-haul permit can take it to a county operated landfill or an approved recycling facility, and a contractor can remove it in its own vehicle.
Get it ready
Keep construction debris, concrete, dirt and rocks out of all three carts, and keep it out of the bulky pile because the hauler excludes it. Secure every load during transport, because the self-haul rules require it, and never put the material in another person's dumpster or at an unauthorized location.

City of Murrieta Environmental Programs with Waste Management

Hold a self-haul permit for household loads

A Murrieta property that opts out of curbside subscription and hauls its own trash, recycling and organics, including a renovation load that the carts and the bulky pickup refuse.

Cost & conditions
A self-haul permit has an annual fee that the city publishes at $89.08 on the self-haul program page and its 2026 application and at $20 on the residential services page, so confirm the current amount and the landfill gate charge with the city Solid Waste Coordinator at (951) 461-6448.
Arrange it
Apply to the city Solid Waste Coordinator with the annual fee, then haul the material to a county operated landfill, a legitimate recycling facility or a certified organic waste processing facility, and keep the receipts.

The permit is valid for one calendar year, is not prorated, and requires proof of disposal at least once a month with receipts submitted by March 15, July 15 and November 15. Loads have to be secured in transport, and a property on a self-haul permit gives up the free bulky pickup and the curbside used oil service.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Murrieta handles most large items through the hauler and the county rather than a city transfer station. Waste Management collects bulky items inside the two free annual pickups and takes used motor oil from the curb free by appointment, up to two gallons a week with at least 24 hours notice. Household hazardous waste and electronics cannot be collected at all and go to the free Riverside County facilities, while the Murrieta ABOP center at 25315 Jefferson Avenue takes antifreeze, batteries, used oil and latex paint on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A resident who wants to haul household material instead of subscribing holds a city self-haul permit, must dispose of it at a county operated landfill or an approved recycling or organic waste facility, has to keep monthly disposal receipts, and gives up the free bulky pickup and the curbside used oil service. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Murrieta.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Murrieta?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Murrieta?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How do I get rid of construction debris in Murrieta?

Not through the carts or the bulky pickup. Construction debris, concrete and dirt and rocks are refused in the trash cart, construction debris is refused in the organics cart, and the hauler states that bulky items do not include construction and demolition waste. The material goes to a county operated landfill as a permitted self-haul load or through a private hauler, so confirm the material and the fee first.Official guidance

When is the Murrieta community cleanup event?

The city holds a free cleanup event on a Saturday in the spring and a Saturday in the fall at the City Hall rear parking lot. Does Murrieta require trash service for every property?

Yes. Every residential and business property has to have trash collection, and a resident who does not want service has to hold a city self-haul permit instead, with an annual fee, proof of disposal at least once a month recorded on receipts due in March, July and November, and disposal only at a county operated landfill or an approved recycling or organic waste facility.
