  1. Check what your delivery includes.

If a new mattress is arriving, check whether your retailer is taking the old one. If you need Dropcurb, choose a day when you can have it outside. A delivery window and a pickup day are different arrangements.

  2. Arrange the trip outside.

Plan for doorways, elevators and interior stairs before pickup day. You arrange any indoor carrying. Use a permitted outdoor location and keep entrances and the walking path open.

  3. Make the right mattress easy to find.

Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. Add a location photo and clear access notes so your hauler can identify exactly what is going.

Mattresses and box springs

Accepted with preparation

A mattress leaves through the hauler's bulky pickup or a Riverside County landfill, where mattresses are free when they are hauled separately.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Mattresses and box springs are free at Riverside County landfills when they are hauled separately from other waste, within the per-site daily limit of five at Lamb Canyon. The hauler's bulky item program takes items that will not fit in the carts and is part of the residential service, with four pickups a calendar year and a sixteen item annual allowance, but the hauler does not name a mattress, so confirm it when booking.
When & how
Book the pickup with CR&R at (951) 943-1991 or through the online scheduling service and ask whether the mattress is included, or haul it to Lamb Canyon Landfill and keep it separate from every other load.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress separate from the rest of a landfill load so the free allowance applies, load it so nothing can blow out on the road, and put it at the curb only for a scheduled pickup.

Self-haul to a Riverside County landfill

A household with construction debris, furniture, appliances, a mattress or another load the bulky pickup will not take.

Cost & conditions
From $43.2 for the minimum routine refuse load at a Riverside County landfill. Mattresses hauled separately are free within the per-site daily limit of five.

Hazardous waste, chemicals and chemically treated wood are refused, appliances must be declared and cannot be commingled with other waste, refrigerators must be emptied of food first, mattresses stay free only when hauled separately, and an uncovered load is charged a surcharge.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

San Jacinto works from the curb first. CR&R collects three carts every week, and a household may schedule four bulky item pickups a calendar year with up to four items in each and a sixteen item annual allowance, which covers chairs, couches and household appliances. Anything the bulky route will not take has a county destination: construction and demolition material goes to Lamb Canyon Landfill at 16411 Lamb Canyon Road in Beaumont or Badlands Landfill in Moreno Valley, where public loads are charged by the published gate fees and have to be covered or secured, appliances are declared and kept out of the mixed waste pile, and mattresses are free when they are hauled separately within the daily limit. Electronic waste cannot go in a cart or a landfill, so it moves through a charged curbside collection or the free Beaumont antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility at the same Lamb Canyon site, and the rest of the household hazardous waste goes to a county collection facility such as the Lake Elsinore site on its monthly Saturday. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Mattress removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in San Jacinto.

How much does mattress removal cost in San Jacinto?

The price depends on the mattress size you choose. A queen mattress is $99 as the first item and $30 as an additional item. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Add any box spring or frame separately, then review your total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I book same-day mattress pickup in San Jacinto?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.

Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?

The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.

Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.

Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?

You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.

Can a mattress be collected in San Jacinto?

The hauler's bulky item examples name chairs, couches and household appliances rather than mattresses, so call CR&R at (951) 943-1991 and confirm a mattress when you book. Riverside County landfills take mattresses and box springs free when they are hauled separately from other waste, up to five a day at Lamb Canyon.Official guidance

Who collects trash and bulky items in San Jacinto?

CR&R Environmental Services collects the city's trash, recyclables and organic waste under the franchise, and CR&R Customer Care takes bulky item requests with cart questions at (951) 943-1991. A household may schedule four bulky item pickups a calendar year with up to four items each and a sixteen item annual allowance.Official guidance
