Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronic waste cannot go in the carts or into a landfill, and it moves through a charged curbside collection or a free county drop-off.

City cost & eligibility
The hauler collects electronic waste at the curb for a nominal charge and publishes no amount, so confirm the price with CR&R at (951) 943-1991. The county alternative is free to Riverside County residents: the Beaumont antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility at Lamb Canyon and the household hazardous waste centres take electronic waste, televisions and computers.
When & how
Call CR&R to arrange the curbside collection, or take the device to Lamb Canyon Landfill Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or to the Lake Elsinore household hazardous waste facility on its monthly Saturday.
Get it ready
Keep electronic waste out of all three carts and out of a landfill load, and erase personal data from a computer, phone or drive before it leaves your hands.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Hazardous waste, electronics and construction material stay off the carts

Household hazardous waste is illegal in the automated collection program, and electronic waste is barred from the carts and from landfills, moving instead through a charged curbside collection or a free county drop-off. A refrigerator or another Freon unit is a charged special collection, and construction material is not a bulky item at all.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Arrange the special collection for a Freon unit or electronic waste

A household with a refrigerator or another appliance holding Freon, or with electronic waste that will not ride the bulky pickup.

Cost & conditions
The hauler describes both the refrigerator and the electronic waste collection as charged and publishes no amount, so confirm the price with CR&R at (951) 943-1991 before the item goes out.
Arrange it
Book through CR&R Customer Care at (951) 943-1991 or the online scheduling service for the regular collection day, and confirm how the unit or device is prepared.

Only the Freon unit or the electronic waste goes on this collection, and both have to stay out of the three carts and out of a landfill load.

Drop electronic waste or hazardous material at a county site

A Riverside County household with paint, oil, batteries, cleaners, pesticides, propane tanks, electronic waste, a television or a computer.

Cost & conditions
No charge. The Beaumont antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility at Lamb Canyon and the county household hazardous waste facilities are free to Riverside County residents.
Arrange it
The Beaumont facility is at Lamb Canyon Landfill, 16411 Lamb Canyon Road in Beaumont, open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Lake Elsinore household hazardous waste facility is at 512 North Langstaff Street, open the first Saturday of each month except January, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. October through May and 7 a.m. to noon June through September.

The household hazardous waste facilities refuse appliances, tires, trash, asbestos, containers larger than 5 gallons or 50 pounds, explosives or ammunition, controlled substances, business or out-of-county waste and infectious waste other than sharps, and the antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility takes only those common streams plus electronic waste.

Read the county rules

Taking it somewhere yourself?

San Jacinto works from the curb first. CR&R collects three carts every week, and a household may schedule four bulky item pickups a calendar year with up to four items in each and a sixteen item annual allowance, which covers chairs, couches and household appliances. Anything the bulky route will not take has a county destination: construction and demolition material goes to Lamb Canyon Landfill at 16411 Lamb Canyon Road in Beaumont or Badlands Landfill in Moreno Valley, where public loads are charged by the published gate fees and have to be covered or secured, appliances are declared and kept out of the mixed waste pile, and mattresses are free when they are hauled separately within the daily limit. Electronic waste cannot go in a cart or a landfill, so it moves through a charged curbside collection or the free Beaumont antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility at the same Lamb Canyon site, and the rest of the household hazardous waste goes to a county collection facility such as the Lake Elsinore site on its monthly Saturday. Aerosols containing product, antifreeze, auto and household batteries, cooking oil, electronic waste including televisions and computers, fluorescent bulbs, paint and used oil and filters.

The facility takes only the common antifreeze, battery, oil and paint streams plus the listed expanded items, so other household hazardous waste has to go to a household hazardous waste facility instead.

Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed on county holidays.

No charge. Free to Riverside County residents.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in San Jacinto.

How much does TV removal cost in San Jacinto?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in San Jacinto?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in San Jacinto?

Not in the carts, and not into a landfill. The hauler collects electronic waste such as a monitor, television or phone at the curb for a nominal charge, and the county takes it free at the Beaumont facility at Lamb Canyon Landfill and at the household hazardous waste centres.Official guidance

When are the Riverside County waste sites open near San Jacinto?

Lamb Canyon Landfill at 16411 Lamb Canyon Road in Beaumont and Badlands Landfill in Moreno Valley are both open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Beaumont antifreeze, battery, oil and paint facility shares the Lamb Canyon site with the same hours.
