Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronic waste

Accepted with preparation

Larimer County recycles electronics at a station inside the landfill, Colorado bans electronic devices from landfills, and Weld County's hazardous waste facilities refuse electronics so those items go to a recycler instead.

City cost & eligibility
From $0.65 per pound for laptops, CPUs and tablets at the electronics recycling station inside the Larimer County Landfill on the published rate schedule, with other regular residential electronics charged a higher rate per pound and commercial or irregular electronics charged higher again. The station is operated by Waste Management under the county program, accepts credit cards and cash, and customers unload their own electronics onto the scale. The county's fee schedule and its electronics page publish slightly different per pound rates, so confirm the rate at the scale.
When & how
Take the devices to the electronics recycling station at 5887 S. Taft Hill Road in Fort Collins, open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Get it ready
Check the accepted list before loading, because the station refuses appliances, food preparation appliances, electrical lawn equipment, electrical exercise equipment, medical devices, personal hygiene items, toys and smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, and remove a battery first where the county asks for it.

For a Larimer County disposal load

Sort the load before arriving, because the county takes electronics at its own station, routes cooling appliances through the resource recovery area, and recycles mattresses only when they are dry and free of bedbugs. Cover and secure the load, since an uncovered load is charged double, and confirm the receiving facility and the load charge before leaving.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Windsor has no town collection, so the two routes are a private hauler at the curb and a self-haul trip. The town's recycling page lists Bunting Disposal, Gallegos Sanitation, Ram Waste Systems and Waste Management for curbside service, and the town's hazardous waste page sends residents to the county site that matches the address, which can be either Weld County or Larimer County because the town sits in both. For self-haul loads, Larimer County moved disposal to the Central Diversion and Transfer Station at 2388 West Trilby Road in Fort Collins after the landfill closed on August 3, 2026, and it recycles mattresses and box springs for a per piece fee, handles appliances with and without refrigerant, recycles electronics at a station inside the old landfill entrance, and prices rubble, shingles and drywall by the cubic yard. Weld County residents get a free large item disposal voucher for one load at the North Weld, Buffalo Ridge or Front Range landfill, and Weld County's hazardous waste facilities do not take electronics, appliances, construction material or regular trash. The town also runs a yard waste rebate program for organic material recycled at a private compost site. County disposal and recovery site

Larimer County Central Diversion and Transfer Station

2388 West Trilby Road, Fort Collins, CO

General waste disposal along with mattress and box spring recycling, appliance handling that includes units holding refrigerant, electronics recycling at the station inside the old landfill entrance, furniture and exercise equipment as regular waste, tires, and separate rubble, shingle and drywall loads.

Larimer County closed the landfill to disposal on August 3, 2026 and moved waste disposal to this transfer station, so confirm the site for the load. Charges are set by vehicle type or by cubic yard and an uncovered or unsecured load is charged double. Electronics are banned from Colorado landfills, cooling appliances go to the resource recovery area rather than the hazardous waste drop-off, and mattress recycling applies only to pieces that are dry and free of bedbugs.

Disposal and electronics recycling run from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, and the hazardous waste drop-off is closed to the public on Wednesday. Call the 24 hour information line at 970-498-5770 or check the county page before a trip.

The county prices a load by vehicle type, with a flat fee for a car, SUV, passenger van, pickup truck or cargo van and a per cubic yard rate for a trailer or rental truck with a 2 cubic yard minimum, and it adds per item charges for mattresses, appliances, electronics and tires, so confirm the load charge before arriving at the scale.

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Windsor.

How much does TV removal cost in Windsor?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Windsor?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
