Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is named neither in the city's bulky waste list nor in the curbside program rules, so a treadmill or weight machine has to be confirmed before it is moved. A machine that is mostly metal is the closest fit to the white metal category the station does accept.

No city list names an exercise machine and no rate covers one, so call Public Works at 203-630-4018 or ask at the scale house before loading the machine, and confirm whether it is treated as white metal under the vehicle fee.
