Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are named on the acceptable bulky list, so a television is collected at the curb in the monthly bulky collection rather than needing a separate drop-off.

City cost & eligibility
No television or electronics fee is published on the city pages, so confirm any charge with the Solid Waste Division when the load is unusual.
When & how
Set the television out on the monthly bulky collection day, the night before or by 6 a.m.
Get it ready
Keep the set dry and out of the green recycling cart, because hazardous and radioactive materials are refused there, and keep it five feet clear of vehicles, mailboxes, fences and trees.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Three streams, three schedules

Garbage is collected twice a week in the brown 96 gallon container, recycling twice a month in the green 96 gallon container, and bulky and yard waste once a month. All three go out the night before collection or before 6 a.m. on the collection day. Containers sit on the swale with the wheels facing the property, at least five feet from vehicles, mailboxes, fences, fire hydrants, trees, light poles and other carts, and clear of low hanging branches and overhead lines. Domestic garbage must not be combined with yard or bulky debris.

How the monthly bulky pile must be set out

Place bulky and yard waste at least five feet from vehicles, mailboxes, fences, fire hydrants, trees, utility poles and other obstacles, and away from low hanging branches and overhead utility lines. Materials go in front of the property where they were generated, large pieces of carpet are rolled, tied or securely bundled, and items blocked by a vehicle or another obstacle are not collected. Construction and demolition debris is not collected at all.

City of Hialeah Solid Waste Division, with Waste Connections of Florida and Coastal Waste and Recycling

Put bulky and yard waste out monthly

A Hialeah household with furniture, a mattress, an appliance, a television, a toilet, a bathtub, a grill, carpeting, large boxes, tree branches or kitchen cabinets.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no bulky item rate on these pages, because the service runs under the residential franchise, so confirm any charge with the Solid Waste Division for an unusual load.
Arrange it
Set the material out on the monthly bulky collection day, the night before or by 6 a.m., in front of the property where it was generated.

Once a month only, five feet clear of vehicles and obstacles, no construction or demolition debris, no concrete, lumber, metal, tires, batteries, propane or oxygen tanks, paint or land clearing debris, and blocked items are not collected.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Hialeah keeps the bulky work on the curb and sends the refused material to a listed or private site. Bulky and yard waste is collected once a month, with couches, chairs, sofas, desks, tables, kitchen cabinets, mattresses, box springs, appliances, toilets, bathtubs, barbecue grills, televisions, carpeting, large boxes and tree branches all on the acceptable list. Materials go out the night before or by 6 a.m. on the collection day, at least five feet from vehicles, mailboxes, fences, fire hydrants, trees and poles, in front of the property where they were generated, with carpet rolled or bundled. Garbage runs twice a week in the brown 96 gallon container and recycling twice a month in the green one, with recyclables loose and rinsed. Everything else is refused somewhere: construction and demolition debris is not collected at all, and concrete, lumber, metal, tires, batteries, propane and oxygen tanks, paint and land clearing debris are all on the unacceptable bulky list, while chemicals, biohazard material and vehicle batteries are banned from the garbage container and the recycling cart. The city directs those loads to its disposal site directory, so confirm the site and the price with the Solid Waste Division before hauling. No site address, hour or fee could be verified in this run, which is why no facility entry is published. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Hialeah.

How much does TV removal cost in Hialeah?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Hialeah?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Can a television go out with the Hialeah bulk waste?

Yes. Televisions are named on the acceptable bulky list and go out with the monthly residential bulky collection. Set the set out the night before or by 6 a.m. on the collection day, five feet clear of obstacles, and never put it in the green recycling cart.Official guidance
