The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

A pickup day is not an exact arrival appointment. If your building allows only a short loading window, contact us before booking to confirm a workable plan.

County residents can recycle household equipment containing circuit boards, including computers, tablets, phones and eligible TVs, at designated drop-off locations.

Use the county landfill or Porter Transfer Station electronics area Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the blue recycling cart. Confirm unusual devices. For loose lithium batteries, cover terminals with tape and separate them from other batteries.
Set large items neatly at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before and by 6 a.m. on the scheduled garbage day. Limit the household pile to three cubic yards. Keep yard waste, carts and large items separate and leave utility access clear.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

How much does TV removal cost in Horizon West?+
A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.
Can I get same-day TV pickup in Horizon West?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.
Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?+
You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.
Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?+
Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.
Does my old TV have to work?+
Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
Where does a rear-projection TV go?+
The county directs rear-projection TVs to large-item curbside collection for eligible customers. They are excluded from the household electronics recycling sites.Official guidance

How do I know whether county collection applies?+

Is the large-item allowance per item or per household?+
It is three cubic yards for the whole household each week. Keep all large items within that combined volume and contact the county about anything uncertain.Official guidance

For a county-served address, set large items out between 6 p.m. the evening before and 6 a.m. on the scheduled garbage day. Can usable furniture from Horizon West be donated instead?+
The Mustard Seed accepts approved reusable furniture at 12 Mustard Seed Lane, Orlando, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pickup has the listed minimum charge and is limited to approved ZIP codes within both 25 miles and a 30-minute drive.
