Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and remodeling debris

Not on the regular city route

The city refuses construction, remodeling and demolition material at the curb in every collection, so the load goes to the county landfill or to a hauler the city permits.

City cost & eligibility
The city does not collect this material. Take it to the Escambia County Perdido Landfill, where solid waste is charged by weight with a minimum load charge and clean fill, dirt and clean concrete are accepted at no charge, or hire a hauler that holds a city solid waste franchise.
When & how
The landfill takes loads Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and asks that loads needing manual offloading arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.
Get it ready
Separate clean concrete and clean fill before leaving the property, because the landfill takes them at no charge when the concrete has no rebar or welded wire fabric and the fill has no roots, branches or rock. Keep asbestos and other special waste off a routine load, because those need review, approval and scheduling before acceptance, and cover the load or pay the uncovered load fee. Debris generated by a contractor stays the contractor's responsibility under city code.

Two county gates handle what the city will not take

The free household hazardous waste and electronics drop-off sits at the Perdido Landfill and is open to county households Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The landfill itself takes solid waste, yard trash, tires, mattresses, clean fill and clean concrete from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturday. The Palafox Transfer Station at 2906 N. Palafox St. takes solid waste by weight on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With a new purchase

Permitted hauler or roll-off container

A household or contractor with construction, remodeling or demolition material, or a load larger than the city special collection takes.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no hauler or container rate, so confirm the container size, the material, the access and the price directly with a company that holds a city solid waste franchise.
Arrange it
Ask the company for its city franchise, describe the material and the access at the property, and confirm in writing where the load will be taken before the container is delivered.

Construction and demolition material is refused in every city collection, so this route replaces the curbside service for that load rather than adding to it, and the landfill's clean fill and clean concrete rules apply to what the load contains.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Pensacola residents keep a city container at the curb for the weekly route and use two drop-off systems for everything else. The city transfer station at 100 W. Leonard St. takes recyclables from city households only, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and asks residents to call ahead if they need help. Escambia County runs the rest. The Perdido Landfill at 13009 Beulah Road in Cantonment weighs what comes in, whether it is household debris, yard trash, tires, mattresses, clean fill or clean concrete, and it charges by weight with a minimum load charge, while the household hazardous waste and electronics area on the same site is free to county households and handles paint, oil, gasoline, batteries, pool chemicals, propane tanks and the whole electronics list. The county Palafox Transfer Station at 2906 N. Palafox St. takes solid waste by weight on weekday mornings. County landfill and household chemical drop-off serving Pensacola

Escambia County Perdido Landfill

13009 Beulah Road, Cantonment, FL

Solid waste, yard trash, waste tires from households up to 5 per household, mattresses up to 4 per household, residential recyclables, clean fill, dirt and clean concrete, and at the separate household hazardous waste drop-off: used oil, fluorescent bulbs and compact fluorescent lamps, pesticides and herbicides, oil-based and latex paint, paint removers, mineral spirits, solvents, brake fluid, gasoline, household cleaners, antifreeze, pool chemicals, rechargeable and vehicle batteries, propane and scuba tanks, ammunition, flares and fireworks up to 50 caliber, sharps in a labeled puncture resistant container, plus televisions, computers, monitors, printers, microwaves and similar household electronics.

The household hazardous waste and electronics drop-off is for residential households only and accepts nothing from businesses. Business tires and oversized tires are refused. Asbestos and other special waste need review, approval and scheduling by county staff before acceptance, and mattress processing has to be scheduled and approved in advance. Appliances, medical waste and unused medication are not part of the hazardous waste program, uncovered loads are charged a fee, and loads needing manual offloading should arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.

Landfill Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the county waste department page listing the Saturday opening as 7:30 a.m., and closed Sunday. Household hazardous waste and electronics Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sharps on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From $11.64 for the published minimum charge for a load at the landfill, where solid waste and mattresses are charged at a per-ton rate, yard trash at a lower per-ton rate, tires at their own rate per tire or per ton, and clean fill, dirt and clean concrete at no charge. Any household delivering waste to the landfill. Special handling material such as asbestos and other special waste carries its own higher per-ton rate and needs the department to review, approve and schedule it first.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Pensacola.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Pensacola?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Pensacola?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Does the city take construction debris in Pensacola?

No. City code lists dirt, concrete, bricks, rocks, stones, mortar and roofing material as not acceptable for city collection, along with material that needs special handling such as asbestos, and the sanitation pages repeat that concrete, bricks, dirt, sod, roofing material and shingles are refused. Disposal is the property owner's responsibility, and contractor material belongs to the contractor.Official guidance

Where does construction material go instead?

To the Escambia County Perdido Landfill in Cantonment or to a permitted private hauler. The landfill takes loads Monday through Friday and Saturday, charges solid waste by weight with a minimum load charge, and accepts clean fill, dirt and clean concrete at no charge when they carry no roots, rock, rebar or wire.Official guidance
