Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Computers, televisions and household electronics

Accepted with preparation

Charlotte County collects e-waste on the regular service day by request only, and the county list names televisions along with computers, monitors, printers, video and stereo equipment, microwaves and telephones.

City cost & eligibility
The county does not publish a separate e-waste charge. Confirm the request and any current charge with Waste Management before putting the item out.
When & how
Schedule the e-waste pickup two days before your scheduled service day with the county pickup request form or Waste Management at 941-629-1106, or 941-697-0012 in the Englewood area.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the recycling cart and out of the transfer facility load, because the county prohibits e-waste in both places. Put the device at the curb for the confirmed pickup day.

Cost & conditions
The county publishes no separate e-waste charge. Confirm the request and any current charge with Waste Management.
Arrange it
Schedule two days before your service day with the county pickup request form or Waste Management at 941-629-1106, or 941-697-0012 in the Englewood area.

Request only, on the regular service day. E-waste cannot go in the recycling cart or into a transfer facility load.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Charlotte County runs the routes for this address. Curbside bulk covers four cubic yards a week, appliances and electronics are request-only pickups, and tires run on the recycling day. Renovation debris is prohibited in the curbside pile and has to go to a Mini-Transfer and Recycling Facility within its limits or to the county landfill at 29751 Zemel Road, which charges by the ton and takes card payment only. The Mid-County facility on Kenilworth Blvd. is the closest drop-off, but it is partially closed for renovations and currently takes only scrap metal, household hazardous waste, sharps, waste tires and recyclables; the county points residents to the West Charlotte facility in Englewood meanwhile. TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Port Charlotte.

How much does TV removal cost in Port Charlotte?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Port Charlotte?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
