City cost & eligibility

When & how
Brush is picked up once each week for city residents. The leaf route runs Monday through Friday once enough leaves are at the curb, usually from mid to late October through February, then operates as needed from March onward. Crews that cannot finish a route in one day resume where they stopped the next day.
Get it ready
Cut large limbs into sections four to six feet long. Rake leaves to or very close to the curb and keep them clear of limbs and other debris, and do not rake leaves into a ditch where they can block stormwater. Leaves and brush travel on different trucks, so set them out in separate piles at the street.
Leaves are collected by a vacuum truck and brush by a different vehicle, so the two should sit in separate piles at the street. Leaves go loose at or near the curb and free of limbs, and large limbs should be cut into four to six foot sections for the brush route.

If you would rather not wait for a collection day, Rockdale County runs the Recycling Center at 1200 Sigman Road, about a mile north of exit 82 off Interstate 20. The site takes garbage, bulky household items, mattresses, yard debris, scrap metal and tires, and the limits are set per household per week. Bring identification and proof of address, because the center serves Rockdale County and City of Conyers residents only and turns away commercial loads. Small yard waste and woody debris with no stumps, limited to two loads per week, and logs cut to a manageable size of 4 ft length and up to 2.5 ft diameter.
Bagged yard waste must be emptied out and bags must not be left in the debris area. The area takes only leaves, limbs, grass clippings and logs, and closes at 4:30 p.m. daily.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed Sunday, Monday and county holidays. The yard debris and wood pile area closes at 4:30 p.m. daily.
From $150 for annual Full User Tag, required from 1 February 2026 for tree debris. Residents 60 and older pay 100 dollars and tags bought after February 2026 are prorated.

Use an accessible outdoor spot you are allowed to use, and follow the instructions in your confirmation. Keep sidewalks, entrances and vehicle access clear. You arrange any indoor carrying. For a loading dock or a short building access window, confirm the setup with our team before booking.
How should leaves and brush be set out?+
Rake leaves loose to the curb and keep them free of limbs, then set cut limbs and shrubbery clippings in a separate pile because a different truck collects them. Limbs should be cut into four to six foot sections. Grass clippings are not collected by the leaf vacuum.Official guidance
Can I put items out the night before collection?+
