Safe drawer-removal sequence
- 1.Identify the cabinet's brand, serial number and model manual before touching the drawer releases.
- 2.Remove the contents and hanging rails. If the cabinet is a HON lateral model, unload from the top down and have a second person support the drawer during the model-specific release.
- 3.Keep the cabinet stable and extend only one drawer at a time. Use the release shown for that model; do not assume a lateral release applies to every filing cabinet.
- 4.Stop if the drawer is stuck or needs force. Do not defeat or bypass the cabinet's safety interlock. If the cabinet must be taken apart indoors, arrange the labor and any required facility permission before staging it outside.
If the cabinet will be reused, check filing-cabinet donation requirements before separating its parts.

Where Dropcurb fits
For an accepted standard filing or storage cabinet that is already outside and accessible, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. You can book before moving it outside, but the cabinet must be ready at the pickup location before collection. If you need someone to carry it out or disassemble it indoors, use a service that includes that labor.
