Use the materials donation route
Bring books in good condition to a library location rather than treating the online financial-donation form as a book pickup request. Call the branch first if you have more than a small, carryable donation.
Keep special requests clear
If the collection is specialized, describe it before travelling. Include the collection-development note only when that is your request. Keep personal papers and unrelated belongings out of the book boxes.
