The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions and electronics are not part of the weekly cart. Flood Brothers runs a scheduled electronics pickup that covers up to ten items at a time with a single television allowed in that load, and the appointment has to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
City cost & eligibility
$30 per scheduled electronics pickup covering up to ten items with one television permitted in the same load, billed directly by Flood Brothers Disposal. Residents call Flood Brothers at least 24 hours ahead to schedule the pickup, and only one television set can be included in a single collection.

Call Flood Brothers at least 24 hours ahead, keep the electronics together in one place at the curb, and remember that a second television needs its own scheduled pickup.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from computers, phones and drives, bag small accessories with the device they belong to, and keep televisions, computers and cords out of the recycling cart, since electronics do not belong in the blue or green carts.
Out after 5 p.m. the night before, in before 6 a.m.
Refuse, recycling and yard waste are collected on the same day, once a week, Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and the Village guide asks for material at the curb after 5 p.m. the day before but before 6 a.m. on the collection day. Your collection time may differ from the previous hauler's, so the curb window matters. Six holidays delay the rest of that week by one day: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Appliances, electronics, tires and chemicals are all booked ahead
None of the priced or restricted items ride the normal refuse day. Appliances, electronics and televisions, tires and household hazardous waste are all scheduled with Flood Brothers at least 24 hours in advance, and each one is billed by the hauler rather than through the quarterly Village bill. Bulk items heavier than 50 pounds join that list, so plan the call to the hauler before the evening the material is supposed to leave the curb.
