We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and remodeling debris

Special rules apply

Light construction debris from work a resident did without a permit may go curbside within the 10 cubic yard bulky limit, while anything a contractor produced or a permit job generated is not collected.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Kenner residential accounts for light construction debris from resident work that did not require a permit, within the 10 cubic yard bulky allowance; debris placed by a general contractor or generated by permitted new construction or demolition is not collected and can draw a city violation.
When & how
Bag or stack the resident debris and put it out with the bulky set-out on the second collection day. For anything a contractor produced, arrange private disposal instead of leaving it at the curb.
Get it ready
Keep the volume inside 10 cubic yards, stack it neatly rather than piling it loose, keep it out of the green household waste container, and have a yard service or tree removal contractor take its own debris away because the city will not.

Garbage twice a week, recycling on the district day

Kenner household garbage is bagged and placed in the green Waste Pro container, which is collected twice a week on the route for the address, either Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, or Wednesday and Saturday. Recycling runs by council district since August 3, 2026, with District 1 on Friday, District 2 on Thursday, District 3 on Wednesday, District 4 on Tuesday and District 5 on Monday, and recyclables go out on the second collection day loose in the cart with no bagging. The city provides one recycling container, extra overflow has to go in a container marked RECYCLING beside the city bin, and a contaminated load is left behind with an oops card explaining why.

Bulky waste rides the second collection day without a booking

Furniture, mattresses, white goods, large toys and resident remodeling debris do not need an appointment. They go beside the roll-out cart rather than inside it and are removed on the second collection day of the week, so a household only has to have them out by the usual start time. The set-out is limited to 10 cubic yards and to residential use, items have to be stacked or bagged neatly with at least 3 feet of clearance from carts, vehicles, mailboxes and utility poles, and the pile cannot block a sidewalk, driveway or storm drain. Containers may not go out before 3 PM the day before collection and must be off the curb by the end of collection day.

Hazardous waste, tires and contractor debris never ride the curb

Hazardous household waste is not picked up curbside, including paint, motor oil, pesticides, gasoline and pool chemicals, and tires are refused in the bulky set-out as well. Debris from a yard service, a tree removal contractor or a permitted construction or demolition job is the contractor's responsibility, and leaving it out can draw a city violation. Kenner also does not recycle glass. The routes that cover those items sit outside the city truck: the Kenner bulk waste drop-off site on 24th Street takes white goods, scrap metal, small residential construction quantities, yard waste, large household fixtures and electronics when the site allows them, and Jefferson Parish drop-off sites at Metairie and Marrero add tires, automotive fluids, oil filters, batteries, cooking oil and e-waste.

Use the Kenner bulk waste drop-off site

A Kenner resident who would rather haul furniture, appliances, scrap metal, small residential construction debris, yard waste, fixtures or electronics than wait for the curb.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes the site's accepted items, hours and residency requirement but no fee, so confirm whether a charge applies before loading the vehicle.
Arrange it
Take the load to 1803 24th Street, Kenner, LA 70062, on a Saturday or Sunday between 9 AM and 3 PM with proof of Kenner residency, and arrive early enough to unload and have the residency checked. No weekday drop-offs are allowed.

Haul a load to a Jefferson Parish drop-off site

A Kenner household with bulky waste, white goods, scrap metal, yard waste, construction debris, and at Metairie or Marrero also tires, automotive fluids, oil filters, batteries or e-waste.

Cost & conditions
From $14 per pickup truck load for contractors, commercial users and Jefferson Parish municipalities including Kenner, with $20.00 for a trailer load, paid by credit or debit card because cash is not accepted. Kenner loads must be deposited in the containers labelled for municipal loads, and the parish asks for a driver's licence or water bill to verify residence before accepting waste.
Arrange it
Take the load to the Metairie site at 400 David Drive or the Marrero site at 6440 Lapalco Boulevard, open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 5:30 pm except observed holidays, and unload it by hand into the containers because the sites are self-service.

Cathode ray tube televisions and monitors, media, light bulbs of any kind, copiers, MP3 players, cameras, stereo equipment, radios, speakers, toner and inkjet cartridges and portable navigation devices are refused. Single axle trailers of 10 feet or less are allowed, dump trailers and rented box trucks are not, and the parish may redirect a load to a landfill.

With a new purchase

Arrange private disposal for contractor debris

A Kenner household whose renovation debris was produced by a general contractor or by permitted new construction or demolition.

Cost & conditions
The city does not collect contractor or permitted-job debris at the curb and publishes no rate for private disposal, and the parish drop-off sites charge municipal and commercial loads per vehicle, so the price has to come from whichever hauler or site takes the load.
Arrange it
Have the contractor remove the debris it generated, or book a private hauler, or confirm whether the parish will accept the load at the Metairie or Marrero site and pay the published per vehicle fee at the gate.

Leaving contractor or permitted-job debris at the curb can draw a city violation, and private disposal is a paid service rather than part of the Kenner residential bulky allowance.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Kenner runs through the city's own weekend site and the Jefferson Parish drop-off network. The Kenner residential bulk waste drop-off site at 1803 24th Street opens only on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 3 PM, requires proof of Kenner residency, and takes furniture, mattresses, appliances with refrigerator doors removed, scrap metal, small quantities of residential construction debris, yard waste, large household fixtures and electronics when the site allows them, while refusing hazardous waste, tires, medical waste, contractor loads and fuel equipment with fluids inside. Jefferson Parish runs four drop-off sites with hours Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 5:30 pm, and the Metairie site on David Drive and the Marrero site on Lapalco Boulevard add tires at five per resident per day, automotive fluids at five gallons per resident per day, oil filters, battery, cooking oil and e-waste collections that exclude cathode ray tube sets, light bulbs, copiers, cameras, audio equipment and cartridges. Kenner loads go into the containers labelled for municipal loads and the parish lists a per vehicle fee for the municipalities that includes Kenner, so bring a card because cash is not accepted. Household chemicals, paint, tubes and electronic waste including televisions and CRT monitors wait for the parish household hazardous materials event, which the parish says may accept a different list from the one it prints. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Kenner.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Kenner?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Kenner?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How much construction debris can go out at the curb?

Debris a resident generated through light work that did not need a permit, such as carpeting and padding, may be placed curbside and is limited to 10 cubic yards per set-out. Waste Pro is not required to remove construction debris placed by a general contractor or produced by new construction or demolition that required a permit, and leaving that material out can draw a city violation.Official guidance

Who collects garbage and recycling in Kenner?

Waste Pro collects residential and commercial garbage, and Ramelli Recycling handles citywide recycling, both under city contracts. Household garbage is bagged into the green Waste Pro container and collected twice a week on one of three routes, and recycling runs by council district on a schedule that changed on August 3, 2026. The city provides one recycling container, extra overflow has to go in a container marked RECYCLING beside the city bin, and questions go to the city at 504-468-7240 or Waste Pro at (504) 392-4619.Official guidance

Is there a charge for bulky waste pickup in Kenner?

The curbside bulky set-out is part of the residential service rather than a separate charge, and no appointment is needed: bulky waste, large items, white goods and remodeling debris go beside the cart and come off the street on the second collection day of the week. The limits are residential use only, 10 cubic yards per set-out, neat stacking with 3 feet of clearance, no hazardous waste and no tires. A household that would rather haul its own load can use the city drop-off site on 24th Street, which publishes no fee but does require proof of Kenner residency.Official guidance

What is not accepted at the Kenner curb?

Hazardous household waste is never picked up curbside, including paint, motor oil, pesticides, gasoline and pool chemicals, and tires are refused in the bulky set-out too. Debris from a yard service, a tree removal contractor or a permitted construction or demolition job is not the city's to remove and can draw a violation if left out. Kenner also does not recycle glass at all, and the city's own recycling page sends glass bottles and jars to the Jefferson Parish drop-off sites. Electronics sit in the uncertain middle: the city drop-off site lists televisions, computers and printers only when the site allows them.Official guidance
