Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Construction and demolition material from a hired contractor is refused in the curb pile, along with dirt and large chunks of concrete, so a renovation load moves in a roll-off container. Coastal Environmental Services publishes 20, 30 and 40 yard containers, and the container company that supplies the box sets its own refusal list. A nearby transfer station's container guidance lists paint, refrigerant, tires, appliances, electronics, medical or infectious waste and hazardous material as items that do not belong in a rental box, so confirm the list with the supplier.

City cost & eligibility
The contractor publishes container sizes but no container or tonnage rate, and the transfer station publishes no gate rate, so the price has to be quoted before the container is ordered.
When & how
A roll-off container is scheduled directly with the container company, which delivers and collects on its own calendar. The curbside bulky sweep and the weekly recycling route do not take contractor loads.
Get it ready
Separate clean soil, sod and concrete when the hauler prices them differently, keep paint, refrigerant, tires, appliances and electronics out of a construction container, and ask the container company for its own refusal list, because the nearby transfer station's container guidance is that site's rule rather than the supplier's, and do not load above the top rail or above the half level when the load is soil or concrete.

Keep the pile clear of obstacles and overhead lines

Leave at least 3 feet between the pile and any mailbox, vehicle, fence, cable box, post or utility box, and keep the material out from under power lines and low hanging trees. Yard waste also stays out of ditches, driveways, the roadway and sidewalks, off a neighbor's property, and away from hydrants and water meter boxes, so the grapple truck can reach the pile from the street.

Household garbage stays inside the 95 gallon cart

Bag the household waste, close the lid to within 6 inches of the top, and leave nothing beside the cart, because bagged items and loose items outside the cart are not collected. Put carts out the night before or by 5 a.m., within 3 feet of the curb and clear of vehicles, mailboxes, hydrants, poles and fences, with the handle facing the house and the lid opening facing the street. Round cans and cans with removable lids are not collected, and a recycling cart left at the curb on the garbage day is dumped as garbage.

Roll-off container for a renovation or a large cleanout

A household or a contractor with construction, demolition, clean fill or heavy material that the curbside pile refuses, including anything a hired contractor generated.

Cost & conditions
The city contractor publishes 20, 30 and 40 yard container sizes without a container or tonnage rate, and the nearby transfer station publishes no gate rate, so the price has to be quoted before the container is ordered.
Arrange it
Order a 20, 30 or 40 yard roll-off container from Coastal Environmental Services or another local container company, which delivers the box and collects it on its own schedule.

Ask the container company for its own refusal list: a nearby transfer station's container guidance lists paint, refrigerant, tires, appliances, electronics, medical or infectious waste and hazardous material as items that do not belong in a rental box. A container may not be loaded above the top rail, and soil or concrete may not be loaded above the half level.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Slidell's curbside program is the published route for a couch, a mattress, a major appliance or a green waste pile, set out on the alternating north side and south side sweep rather than driven anywhere. A household that wants to move the load itself has no published municipal drop-off, so the practical step is to call Coastal Environmental Services at 985-781-3171 first and ask what the contract will accept or arrange. A nearby transfer station in Mandeville at 68658 LA-59 takes self-hauled loads during published hours on the phone number (985) 893-5308, but it publishes no household accept list and no gate rate, so confirm both before driving there, and remember that its containers refuse paint, refrigerant, tires, appliances and electronics. Glass is the one material with a published free drop-off: the city and Keep Slidell Beautiful collect bottles and jars at the Heritage Park parking lot at the corner of Bayou Lane and Pennsylvania Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of the month. Renovation material and anything a hired contractor generated leave the curb program entirely and move in a roll-off container at a quoted price. Transfer station in Mandeville that a household can call about a self-hauled load

Stranco Solid Waste Management Transfer Station

68658 LA-59, Mandeville, LA 70471

The transfer station page publishes no item list of its own. The company's container guidance lists asphalt, concrete, brick, block, cardboard, general household waste, construction and demolition material, clean fill, home renovation material, furniture and metals as accepted in its containers, while paint, refrigerant, tires, appliances and electronics are refused.

Residential gate access, unloading rules and payment are not published for the transfer station, and the accepted-material list is written for rented containers rather than a household load, so call (985) 893-5308 before making the trip.

Monday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed on major holidays.

The transfer station publishes its address and hours without a gate rate or a minimum load charge, so confirm the fee and the accepted material by phone before loading a vehicle.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Slidell.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Slidell?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Slidell?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can a contractor's debris go in the bulky pile in Slidell?

No. The contractor's published unacceptable list refuses any debris or material generated by a hired contractor, along with debris over 8 feet long, dirt and large chunks of concrete. A renovation load moves in a roll-off container instead, ordered from the city contractor or another local container company at a quoted price.Official guidance

Who collects garbage and bulky items in Slidell?

Coastal Environmental Services collects for the City of Slidell, and the city's own Public Utilities page names it as the city trash company. Garbage runs twice a week on either a Monday and Thursday or a Tuesday and Friday pattern, recycling runs once a week, and bulky and green waste rides a separate grapple truck that works one side of the city at a time. The contract number is 985-781-3171.Official guidance

How much bulky waste can I put out each month?

The published limit is 8 yards of bulky or green waste per household per month, and the two streams share that allowance. Anything over 8 feet long, any debris holding wet paint, gasoline or motor oil, tires, tanks, dirt and large chunks of concrete, and anything a hired contractor generated are refused in the same pile.Official guidance

Can I take my own items somewhere in Slidell instead of waiting for the truck?

The city publishes no municipal drop-off for household bulky items, so the usual answer is to call Coastal Environmental Services at 985-781-3171 and ask what the contract can arrange. Glass is the exception, with a free drop-off at the Heritage Park parking lot at the corner of Bayou Lane and Pennsylvania Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of the month, and a transfer station in Mandeville at 68658 LA-59 can be asked about a self-hauled load at (985) 893-5308.Official guidance
