The bag provider sets the pickup price and the collection window, and Peabody publishes no charge that applies to a dumpster bag, so both the price and the accepted contents are confirmed with the provider before the bag is filled.
When & how
Buy the bag, fill it, then schedule its collection with the provider on the provider's timeline. Do not leave a filled bag at the curb for the city collection, because it is outside the weekly bag, barrel and bulky item allowance.
Get it ready
Describe the bag brand, size and contents when the pickup is scheduled, and keep construction material, appliances, electronics, tires, yard waste, paint and liquids out of it unless the provider accepts them. A bag placed on a street or sidewalk can also run into a city obstruction rule, so keep it on the property until pickup.
A dump day needs a voucher picked up before the Thursday deadline
Vouchers are monthly, expire on the residents' day for that month, are issued first come first served up to 100 per time slot, and carry no cost. The last day to pick one up or reserve one by phone is 2:30 p.m. on the Thursday before the event, no vouchers are issued on the Friday before, and proof of residency is required at the gate, where residents unload their own material into a dumpster.
The dump day household cap is 1,500 pounds for the fiscal year
The flyer caps a household at 1,500 pounds per fiscal year, measured per household rather than per property, with the printed window running from July 1 to June 30. A household over the cap is still allowed to dump, but pays the extra weight to Republic Services by credit card only, so confirm the current fiscal-year window with Public Services before loading a heavy vehicle.
A holiday pushes collection back one day for the rest of the week
When a 2026 holiday falls on a collection day, trash and recycling are delayed by one day for the remainder of that week, and the city buildings close. The 2026 list includes New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, while Saturday July 4 is listed with no delay.
