Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Special rules apply

The city publishes no electronics collection and no drop-off site in Wyoming, noting for recycling in general that there is no site inside the city, so electronics depend on the licensed hauler or a county facility in the surrounding area.

City cost & eligibility
No city price is published for electronics. Confirm with the licensed hauler whether it takes a television, monitor or computer, and confirm the county's own accepted lists and charges before driving to a Kent County facility.
When & how
Ask the hauler, or check the Kent County recycling resources the city links, before loading a device.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before a computer or phone leaves the house, keep the device out of the recycling container because it will contaminate the load, and keep any removable battery separate.

Wyoming licenses haulers instead of collecting

The city's own words are that you can choose any licensed trash hauler to collect garbage, yard waste and recycling, and it publishes the licensed 2025-2026 list with contact details: Advanced Disposal on 616-669-7077, Arrowaste on 616-748-1955, Kamps Wood Shavings and Refuse Disposal on 616-457-2010, Republic Services on 616-669-7888 and Waste Management on 866-849-0076. The city is divided into several geographic regions and all trash in a region is collected on the same day each week, with a trash collection day map published separately. Because the service is a private contract, the city publishes no item lists and no rates, which is why every large item answer in this guide ends with a phone call to the hauler rather than a city program.

Ask your licensed hauler about large items

Any Wyoming household with a couch, mattress, appliance, television, treadmill, tire or renovation material to clear.

Cost & conditions
The city licenses haulers but publishes no item rules or rates, because collection is a private contract. Call the chosen company from the licensed 2025-2026 list, which runs from Advanced Disposal on 616-669-7077 through Arrowaste on 616-748-1955, Kamps Wood Shavings and Refuse Disposal on 616-457-2010 and Republic Services on 616-669-7888 to Waste Management on 866-849-0076.
Arrange it
Call the hauler, describe the item and its weight, agree the price and the collection day, and only then put it out on the region's weekly collection day.

Each hauler sets its own accepted items and prices, the city does not mediate the contract, and the city publishes no bulky item or construction service of its own to fall back on.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Wyoming is an open market city: the city licenses private haulers and states that a household may choose any licensed trash hauler to collect garbage, yard waste and recycling, publishing a five company list for 2025-2026 with phone numbers and dividing the city into geographic regions that each have one collection day a week. That structure decides how large items leave a home here, because the city publishes no bulky item, appliance, electronics or construction collection of its own: a couch, mattress, refrigerator, television, treadmill or renovation load is whatever the household's hauler will accept, and any item the hauler refuses has to go to a county facility or back to a retailer. The city does publish one disposal route in full. Wyoming is one of four Kent County household hazardous waste sites, and its own site is on the grounds of the Clean Water Plant at 2350 Ivanrest Ave. SW, open Mondays 1 to 3 p.m. and Thursdays 7 to 9 a.m. with no appointment, reached by the driveway just north of the railroad tracks at Chicago Drive on the east side of Ivanrest Avenue and marked with a green and black sign. Accepted materials include automotive fluids, solvents, cleaners, pesticides, oil based paints and stains, photochemicals, ammunition, fireworks and non-alkaline batteries, while explosives, propane tanks, infectious waste, water based paint, controlled substances and radioactive material are refused, latex paint has to be dried out with an absorbent and put in the regular trash, and loads are capped at 20 gallons with nothing in a container larger than five gallons. For recycling the city points out that there is no site inside Wyoming and that Kent County maintains several facilities in the surrounding area, and for sharps the county health department issues free containers that are exchanged when full. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Wyoming.

How much does TV removal cost in Wyoming?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Wyoming?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can I take a television in Wyoming?

The city publishes no electronics drop-off inside Wyoming: on its recycling page it states that there is not a site located specifically in Wyoming but that Kent County maintains several facilities in the surrounding area, and it links the county's recycling site for details. The practical first call is the household's licensed hauler, and then the county facility list for a device the hauler will not take.Official guidance

Is there a recycling drop-off in the city?

No. The city's recycling page states that there is not a site located specifically in Wyoming but that Kent County maintains several facilities in the surrounding area, and it links the county's recycling site for those locations. Anything not recyclable curbside should be checked against the county's own lists before it is taken anywhere.Official guidance
