Two bags. One filled box. Count what goes, then book it together.
Finish clearing the space
The last few things still deserve a pickup.
You have decided what is going. Now give those bags and boxes a pickup day, with a price you can see before anyone arrives.
The move is nearly done.
Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
The clear-out can be finished.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Rolla offers prepaid special pickup for an approximately pickup-truck-sized load of trash, furniture or similar household material.
City cost & eligibility
$35 per approximately pickup-truck-sized trash or furniture load. Eligible City special-pickup customers after item and load confirmation.
When & how
Special pickups are generally Wednesday and must be prepaid and scheduled by 4 p.m. the prior day. A holiday during the normal work week may postpone service until the following week.
Get it ready
Describe every item and the approximate load when arranging service. Do not combine appliances, tires, yard waste or excluded materials with the general load because the City uses separate routes and charges.
Furniture is named on the City special-pickup page; County Trash and Duke's also publish Rolla couch or furniture routes.
City cost & eligibility
$35 per City special-pickup load of about pickup-truck size. Eligible City customers after confirming the furniture fits the published load route.
When & how
Use the City's prepaid Wednesday route, call County Trash ahead if already eligible for its service, or request a Duke's quote and appointment.
Get it ready
Keep the furniture accessible for the selected route and disclose size, stairs and condition. The City page does not publish indoor lifting; Duke's explicitly offers in-property loading.
County Trash names mattresses for its Rolla customers, and Duke's explicitly handles mattresses in Rolla. The City special-pickup page does not name mattresses.
City cost & eligibility
$10 per mattress through County Trash Service. Existing or approved County Trash customers in its Rolla service area who call ahead with the address.
When & how
Call County Trash before the regular pickup or request a separate Duke's appointment. Ask the City directly before treating a mattress as part of its general special-pickup load.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and accessible, and ask the selected provider whether wrapping is required because neither reviewed provider page publishes a wrapping rule.
Rolla offers separate prepaid collection for named major appliances, and the Recycling Center accepts named appliances during its staffed e-waste window with a fee.
City cost & eligibility
$20 per major appliance through City special pickup. Eligible City special-pickup customers after confirming the exact appliance.
When & how
Arrange the generally Wednesday City pickup by 4 p.m. the prior day and prepay, or call before using the Recycling Center's weekday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. e-waste window.
Get it ready
Name the appliance, disclose whether it contains refrigerant and confirm disconnect or door requirements. The reviewed City pages do not publish those preparation details.
Rolla Recycling Center accepts named electronics on weekdays; televisions and CRT monitors carry an unpublished fee.
City cost & eligibility
The City names televisions and CRT monitors as fee-bearing items but does not publish the amount. Call 573-364-6693 for current pricing and exact-device acceptance.
When & how
Use the Recycling Center e-waste window from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Special arrangements may be possible by calling the City.
Get it ready
Keep screens intact, remove personal data and call before traveling with a fee-bearing or unlisted device. General recyclable drop-off being open 24/7 does not extend the staffed e-waste hours.
Schedule the generally Wednesday City route by 4 p.m. the prior day and prepay. Keep appliances, tires and yard waste out of a general furniture load because they use separate rules.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, air conditioners, stoves, ovens and water heaters for eligible City customers.
Cost & conditions
$20 per major appliance. Eligible City special-pickup customers after confirming the exact appliance.
Arrange it
Call Environmental Services with the exact appliance, prepay and schedule by 4 p.m. the day before the generally Wednesday route.
The per-appliance charge is separate from the general furniture or trash load. Confirm refrigerant, disconnect and door-preparation instructions because the live fee page does not publish them.
Use the Rolla Recycling Center only for its named electronics and appliance categories during the staffed e-waste window, and use the compost site only for eligible vegetation. Ozark Rivers also lists Phelps County Transfer Station, but that directory row is marked last updated Spring 2023 and does not publish furniture, mattress or appliance acceptance, so confirm current access, items, hours and price before traveling. Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
