The local disposal guide

Will the city
take it?

Kill Devil Hills collects household refuse inside the town limits, but bulky items only leave the curb twice a year, in spring and fall. Town property owners can also use the permit-only drop-off on Bermuda Bay Boulevard, and the county landfill and transfer stations handle heavier loads by weight.
