Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Ready for pickup

Ready outside. Taken from there.

Your TV can stay inside while you book. Before pickup, arrange to have it disconnected, taken down if mounted and moved to an accessible outdoor spot.

A pickup day is not an exact arrival appointment. If your building allows only a short loading window, contact us before booking to confirm a workable plan.

Your place. One easy pickup plan.

A house, a condo or an apartment. Choose an accessible outdoor spot that works for your property. You arrange the move outside; we take it from there.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and other electronics

Accepted with preparation

Televisions and all other electronics are picked up Monday through Friday, and the request has to be booked on 201-858-6099 the day before.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no rate for the e-waste collection. Confirm the appointment and any charge on 201-858-6099 when you book, and note that electronics are collected on weekdays only.
When & how
Call 201-858-6099 the day before and put the device out for the weekday the recycling office assigns. Electronics are collected Monday through Friday and never as part of the Saturday furniture bulk route.
Get it ready
Erase personal data where the device still powers on, keep the device out of the recycling container, and keep batteries out of the load because the recycling flyer lists batteries as a container refusal.

Out after 3 p.m., collected through the night

Bayonne collects garbage and recycling at night and asks residents not to put anything out before 3 p.m. on the night of collection, because an early set-out can bring a fine. Garbage pickup starts at 8 p.m. and recycling at 9 p.m., and both follow the same three zones: 1st to 16th Street, 16th to 32nd Street and 32nd to 63rd Street.

Reserve first, then set out on the appointed day

Furniture, mattresses, electronics and scrap metal each have their own day and all of them need a phone call first. Furniture goes on a reserved Saturday, three pieces at a time. A mattress has to be wrapped in plastic before either a reserved pickup or a drop-off at the Recycling Yard on Hook Road, where proof of Bayonne residency is required. Electronics are collected Monday to Friday and scrap metal on Tuesdays.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

City of Bayonne Division of Recycling and Solid Waste Management

Book a weekday e-waste pickup

A Bayonne household with a television, computer, printer, stereo or other electronics.

Cost & conditions
No rate is published for the e-waste collection. Call 201-858-6099 the day before to confirm the pickup and any charge.
Arrange it
Call 201-858-6099 the day before the collection and put the device out for the weekday the recycling office gives you. E-waste is collected Monday through Friday.

The pickup has to be booked in advance, the flyer tells residents not to put batteries in the recycling container, and electronics never ride the Saturday furniture bulk route.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-haul in Bayonne works one item at a time. The Recycling Yard at 330 Hook Road takes wrapped mattresses and box springs from residents who show identification with proof of residency, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday except holidays, and it takes nothing else from this packet. Furniture, electronics and scrap metal do not have a walk-in site: each one is a reservation, with furniture on a Saturday through 201-858-6123, electronics on a weekday through 201-858-6099, and scrap metal on a Tuesday through the same number. Construction and renovation debris has no published city route at all, so a private hauler or a permitted facility has to handle it. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Bayonne.

How much does TV removal cost in Bayonne?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Bayonne?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

How do televisions and electronics leave Bayonne?

Call 201-858-6099 the day before the pickup. E-waste recycling, televisions and all other electronics are collected Monday through Friday, and the flyer tells residents to call that same number the day before pickup.Official guidance

Which large items does Bayonne collect at the curb?
