The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

No fee is published for the Clean Toledo Recycling Center, the county states that fees may apply for its electronics appointments, and the private recyclers set their own prices, so confirm the charge before the trip.
When & how
Take the device to the Clean Toledo Recycling Center at 3900 Creekside Ave Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or book a county appointment by calling 419-213-2230 for a Thursday or Saturday morning slot.
Get it ready
Back up or erase personal data before handover, keep electronics out of the trash and out of the recycling container, remove and separately handle any battery, and call ahead because the recycling guide asks readers to confirm with each business before dropping anything off.
Loose and unbagged debris, tires, hazardous waste, gas, paint, liquids, medical waste, major car parts, commercial construction material, boards with nails or screws, and any item or bundle over 40 pounds are refused, and an item that cannot be collected is left at the curb with a possible fine.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Toledo households put bagged trash in the gray container weekly and recycling in the blue container every other week, and since January 5, 2026 up to five bulk items under 40 pounds each go to the curb with the regular collection and no scheduling, with mattresses bagged or wrapped and branches, wood and rugs tied in 3 foot by 4 foot bundles. A larger piece or load goes to the Hoffman Road Landfill at 3962 Hoffman Rd, where loads are priced by the cubic yard, only cash is accepted, proof of residency is required and three free disposal days are offered in 2026. Donations of gently used good condition items, electronics, scrap metal, appliances without refrigerant, food waste, cardboard and yard waste with no grass clippings.
Open to City of Toledo residents with proof of residency such as a state issued identification, an enhanced library card or a utility bill, self service with staff on site to monitor material, and no hazardous waste accepted.
Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The facility opened to the public on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
No fee is published for the center, so confirm the accepted material and any charge with the city Solid Waste Division before the trip.

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
