Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

Televisions, computers and electronic waste

Special rules apply

No television or computer line appears on the adopted bulky item list and the city publishes no curbside electronics collection, so a device has to be confirmed with the franchisee before it is set out.

City cost & eligibility
The bulky item list names appliances, mattresses, furniture, a treadmill, tires, a car battery and a toilet but no television or computer, so confirm acceptance and the price with the franchisee before arranging a pickup.
When & how
Confirm the device with the franchisee first, because the city publishes no electronics rate and no curbside electronics day.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before handover, keep the screen intact, and ask the franchisee whether the device can ride a bulky pickup or has to go to a regional electronics programme instead.
City Resolution 26-16 adopting corrected solid waste collection and disposal rates effective July 1 2026, with Exhibit A covering the residential weekly and monthly cart rates, the extra bag and extra cart fees, the full bulky item fee list including appliances, refrigerants, mattresses, box springs, couch, chair, file cabinet, treadmill, toilet, car battery, tires and yard debris bags, the inside pickup and stair charges, the Recycle+ fees and the drop box and scheduled container rates with the delivery and disposal surcharge linesCity solid waste and recycling page naming the hauler regulation model, municipal code 8.20, the Oregon City Garbage Company franchise, the commission set rates and the linked rate resolutions, plus the Metro designated facility rule and the Clackamas County education role

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Large items are priced one by one, not by the cart

The adopted schedule keeps a bulky item list where each item has its own price, which is why two mattresses can cost different amounts and why a refrigerator is not treated like a stove. A dense foam king or queen mattress is 19.25 against 11.00 for an innerspring or light foam mattress, a box spring is 8.25, a couch is 16.50, a chair is 15.00, a treadmill is 22.00, an appliance is 22.00 and a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner is 44.00. A tire off the rim is 5.50, a car battery is 11.00 and a toilet is 5.50, and an inside pickup adds 5.50 plus 9.90 for each flight of stairs.

Regional rules decide where the waste can go

Oregon City works inside a regional system. Metro oversees the region's garbage and recycling and all solid waste generated inside Metro's boundary has to be taken to a Metro authorised designated facility, while Clackamas County provides the education and technical assistance through its recycle guide. The city also runs Recycle+, an opt-in programme for hard-to-recycle items charged at 2.50 a month plus 9.25 for each curbside collection event, which is the closest the schedule comes to a specialty recycling route.

City of Oregon City with Oregon City Garbage Company

Opt into Recycle+ for hard to recycle items

A household with material that does not belong in the standard recycling cart and wants a scheduled collection instead of a trip.

Cost & conditions
$2.5 for as the monthly opt-in base charge, plus 9.25 for each curbside collection event, 11.70 for a non-curbside collection within 150 feet and 13.00 beyond that. Oregon City residential addresses served by the franchisee.
Arrange it
Ask the franchisee to add Recycle+ to the account, then set out the accepted hard-to-recycle items on the scheduled collection.

A paid opt-in billed monthly plus per collection, and the schedule does not list televisions or computers among the bulky items, so confirm the accepted material before enrolling.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Oregon City does not run a transfer station, so self haul runs inside the regional system that the city describes. Metro oversees the region's garbage and recycling and all solid waste generated inside Metro's boundary must be taken to a Metro authorised designated facility, and Clackamas County supplies the education and technical assistance through its recycle guide, so the practical first step is to ask the city or the county where a load may go. The rates the city does publish are all on the franchisee side: a container ordered from Oregon City Garbage Company runs 170.00 for a 10 yard scheduled service up to 250.00 for 40 yards, with drop box lines at 210.00 to 290.00, a 38.50 delivery fee, a 55.00 rejected load fee and a 15% surcharge on all drop box disposal fees. Large items are collected rather than driven, at the adopted bulky item prices, and a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner costs 44.00 against 22.00 for a plain appliance. No paint, solvent or household chemical route is published, and no television or computer line appears on the bulky list, so both of those have to be confirmed rather than assumed. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Oregon City.

How much does TV removal cost in Oregon City?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Oregon City?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can an Oregon City household take a television?

The city publishes no television or computer line, so this has to be confirmed. The adopted bulky item list names appliances, mattresses, furniture, a treadmill, tires, a car battery and a toilet, but no electronics, and the city describes only the Metro designated facility rule and the Clackamas County education role. Call the franchisee, Oregon City Garbage Company, and ask how the device is handled before setting it out.Official guidance

What will Oregon City not collect at the curb?

The weekly cart takes household material, and extras have to be bundled, bagged or boxed, under 40 pounds and placed beside the can. Large items are never left out: they are booked as a bulky pickup at the adopted price list. The city publishes no television, computer or household hazardous waste line at all, so those items have to be confirmed with the city or the franchisee rather than set out, and the only chemical item with a published price is a car battery at 11.00.Official guidance
