Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Open to the general public during posted hours. Minimum charges cover loads up to 240 pounds, heavier loads pay a per ton rate plus a $30 transaction fee at staffed scales, and a 2 per cent processing fee applies to credit cards.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Troutdale residents have two ways to move material that will not fit in a cart. The hauler collects bulky items, appliances, console televisions, furniture and building materials by special arrangement at the city's published per item rates, with the Metropolitan tip fee added to bulky items and refrigerated appliances. Anyone who would rather haul their own load can use Metro Central at 6161 NW 61st Ave in Portland, open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where mattresses and box springs are free up to four a day, metal appliances and electronics are free, coolant appliances are charged, tires and general garbage carry published minimums of $37 to $51 for loads up to 240 pounds, and household hazardous waste is free at the co-located facility. The WM transfer station on NW Eastwind Drive is not a residential drop-off, because it is open to commercial customers only. The city also runs cleanup events twice a year and points residents to Metro's spring and fall collection events for hazardous material. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Troutdale.

How much does TV removal cost in Troutdale?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Troutdale?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can I take a television in Troutdale?

Metro Central at 6161 NW 61st Ave in Portland is an Oregon E-Cycles location and takes televisions free from households, up to seven items a day per person, whether the set works or not. A console television can also be collected at the curb through the hauler's bulky item arrangement.Official guidance

Collection happens on all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and when the collection day falls on or after one of those holidays it shifts one day later that week.Official guidance

What does a bulky item pickup cost?

The city publishes a rate for a bulky item collected on the regular garbage truck, a higher rate for a special collection of the first item and a lower rate for each additional item, with refrigeration adding cost for appliances. The Metropolitan tip fee is added to bulky items and refrigerated appliances at market price, so ask WM for the total when the pickup is booked.Official guidance
