When & how
Place bare tires at the curb by 7 a.m. on the normal collection day, or haul them to the county landfill during its operating hours.
Get it ready
Remove the rim first; rims belong with scrap metal. Off-road tires are charged at a higher landfill rate than passenger tires.
Everything goes out by 7 a.m. on your collection day
Roll carts, bins, bulk items and yard debris are placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day and the containers come back off the curb by 7 p.m. the same day.

Residential customers only. Building materials, roofing, rocks and concrete are excluded, and the city list names only washing machines, clothes dryers, bedding, electronics, tires without rims, furniture and bagged clothing.
Tires are charged by weight and off-road tires at a higher rate. South Carolina requires tires to be separated from landfill waste, and the city curb route takes tires without rims.
Landfill Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to noon. The compost and mulch sales point at the same address opens Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
From $15 per ton for separated concrete, brick and asphalt at the county landfill. Loads are weighed at the scale. Mixed construction, shingles, clean wood, yard waste, solid waste and tires carry separate published per-ton rates, and unsorted loads can add a contamination fee.
