A plan for your pile

Finishing the project should include clearing the debris.

Mixed renovation material is hard to describe as one item. A photo-led quote gives you a specific plan for the pile left behind.

Your quote

A quote based on what is actually there.

Send a photo of the whole pile and a close-up of the material. Include its approximate size, your ZIP code and a view of the access.

Mixed or heavy project debris.

Request a quote for the actual materials and quantity. A generic debris-pile price cannot establish the scope of your project.

Already in contractor bags?

The separate contractor-bag item can cover carryable bags of debris at 50 lb or less each, with no dirt or gravel. Describe uncertain contents to our team before choosing it.

Unknown or hazardous material.

Flag unknown contents, chemicals and suspected hazardous materials in your request. A photo request is not acceptance of every material, and this service does not promise remediation or demolition.

Building and remodeling debris

Special rules apply

A small amount of construction material is collected, described as no more than two wheelbarrow loads of wood, brick, block, concrete, drywall, ferrous metals, shingles or building scraps.

City cost & eligibility
Small residential amounts qualify for curbside collection while contractor debris does not. The fee resolution governs charges for chargeable building material, so confirm the amount on 423-229-9451 before setting it out.
When & how
Moves with the yard waste and trash crews on your two-week cycle; larger loads go to the landfill.
Get it ready
Keep the pile small and separated, and never set out contractor-generated waste, which the city refuses outright. Break down or bundle long material so it can be handled safely.

Self-haul to the Kingsport landfill

Best for construction material, brush, ferrous metal and tires that are too large for the curb crews.

Cost & conditions
From $35 for a load under 1,000 pounds at the Kingsport landfill. Kingsport addresses receive 12,000 pounds a year with no tipping fee between July 1 and June 30 using a driver license or current water bill as proof of address. Anything beyond that allowance, and all commercial traffic, pays the published tonnage rate.
Arrange it
Drive to 1921 Brookside Lane with proof of city address, and call (423) 224-2475 if you are unsure whether your load fits the demolition stream.

It is a demolition landfill: no household garbage, no cardboard or paper, and no televisions, monitors or laptops. Big dump trucks and commercial vehicles do not dump free.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from your photo request to the pickup plan in Kingsport.

Can I book a mixed debris pile online at one price?

Request a custom quote instead. Send photos of the materials, approximate pile dimensions, your ZIP code and access details. The team confirms the work and price before you commit.

What if my debris is already in contractor bags?

Each carryable contractor bag at 50 lb or less, containing no dirt or gravel, has its own catalog option. Do not use a bag count for an unbagged pile or unknown material. Text a photo if you are unsure.

Does pickup include demolition or removing installed materials?

No demolition or disconnection work is automatically included. Describe the current state and access in your quote request so the team can confirm the work it can arrange.

How much does construction debris removal cost?

This service uses a custom quote. Send photos, the approximate amount, your ZIP code and access details. Our team confirms the scope and price before booking; there is no fixed-price catalog item for this pile.

Can you collect it today?

Tell our team your preferred day when you request the quote. Timing depends on the material, amount and access, and is confirmed with your quote. Sending photos does not reserve same-day pickup.

Will the city pick up drywall, shingles or concrete?

A small amount, defined by the city as no more than two wheelbarrow loads of wood, brick, block, concrete, drywall, ferrous metals, shingles or construction scraps, is collected at the curb. Contractor-generated waste is not collected at all and belongs in the city landfill's demolition stream.Official guidance

Is there a charge for bulky item pickup in Kingsport?

Sometimes. The city collects furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, small amounts of building material and metal, but lists certain items as chargeable under chapter 86 of the annual fee resolution, and placing a chargeable item at the curb is treated as agreement to be billed. Call 423-229-9451 to confirm the amount before collection day.Official guidance

Where does Kingsport take trash and bulky items after collection?

City crews run through the Brookside Lane landfill, which is a demolition landfill taking wood, metal, construction material, shingles, glass, furniture, block and brick. Brush and pallets are ground into wood chips there, which is how the city extended the landfill's estimated life to about seventy years.Official guidance
