Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are named among the used electronics collected at the town's Clean and Green events, which are free to Little Elm residents.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free to Little Elm residents at the bi-annual Clean and Green collection events, where residents bring a current water bill and photo identification to enter.
When & how
Take the set to the next Clean and Green event at the Public Works Service Center, 1600 Mark Tree Lane near the Animal Shelter, which in 2026 ran on Saturday, September 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep the screen whole and dry and wipe anything that stores data. Do not put a television in the trash or recycling cart, and bring the current water bill and photo identification because they are checked at the entry.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Weekly carts go out by seven and stay clear of obstacles

Trash and recycling are each collected once a week by Community Waste Disposal. Trash has to be bagged, both carts go to the kerb by 7 a.m. and are emptied between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the service day, lids have to be closed, and carts must sit at least three feet from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters and drainage ditches, with the recycling cart three feet from the trash can as well. Overloaded carts or carts blocked by cars are not serviced, and the town lists the common red tag causes as a cart too close to a fixed object, a lid not fully closed, a cart out of reach, hazardous waste and a bulk item left out that was too large for the cart.

Chemicals, tires and contractor debris need another route

The bulk route refuses household hazardous waste including paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, fuel, poisons, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fluorescent lamps and bulbs, lamp ballasts, smoke detectors, medical waste and some cleaning chemicals, along with tires, batteries, car parts and loose debris. Construction and remodeling debris is refused too, with the town directing residents to Community Waste Disposal for an estimate. Two town routes cover part of the gap: the Courtesy Drop Site at 1690 E. Eldorado Parkway takes furniture, mattresses, metal, brush and limbs, sealed cooking oil, cardboard and general waste from residents with an active account, but refuses household hazardous waste and contractor debris, and the bi-annual Clean and Green events take household hazardous waste, refrigerators and freezers with Freon removed on site, kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, used electronics and tires with the rims removed, free to residents who bring a water bill and photo identification.

Town of Little Elm with Community Waste Disposal

Use a Clean and Green collection event

A Little Elm household holding household hazardous waste, an appliance, electronics, a refrigerator or freezer, or tires that the weekly and bulky routes refuse.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to Little Elm residents, who bring a current water bill and photo identification to enter the drop site for the bi-annual Clean and Green collection events.
Arrange it
Watch the town page for the next event date and take the material to the Public Works Service Center, 1600 Mark Tree Lane near the Animal Shelter. The September 2026 event ran on Saturday the 26th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the Courtesy Drop Site opening at noon afterwards for metal, tree branches and bulk and brush items.

Two events a year on announced dates rather than a year round service. Tires have to have the rims removed, refrigerators and freezers have their Freon removed by a contractor on site, and residents must show the current water bill and photo identification at the entrance.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Little Elm runs through two town sites and the hauler. The Courtesy Bulk Drop Site at 1690 E. Eldorado Parkway, at the rear entrance of the Public Works Service Center, takes metal, brush and tree limbs, cooking oil sealed with a screw top lid, cardboard and general waste, and furniture, mattresses and box springs from residents who have an active water or trash account and bring photo identification with proof of address and the most recent utility bill. It opens Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closing early when it fills, it is not a landfill, and it refuses household hazardous waste and contractor debris such as whole fences being replaced, roofing shingles, bricks and other construction material. The Public Works Service Center at 1600 Mark Tree Lane hosts the bi-annual Clean and Green collection days, where residents can bring household hazardous waste including paint, motor oil, auto fluids, pool chemicals, cleaning chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, automotive batteries, pesticides and cooking oil, along with kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, refrigerators and freezers that have Freon removed by an on-site contractor, used electronics including televisions, computers, monitors and printers, and tires with the rims removed, all free with a current water bill and photo identification. Bulk and brush items and tree branches go to the drop site, which opens at noon after each event. Construction and remodeling debris is not taken anywhere by the town, and the hauler estimates project loads at 972-392-9300 option 2. A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Little Elm.

How much does TV removal cost in Little Elm?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Little Elm?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
