Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Special rules apply

Televisions, computers, laptops, monitors, tablets, e-readers and portable DVD players are recycled free through E-Cycle Washington, and both the county transfer stations and the household hazardous waste station refuse electronics. In the Waste Management service area a console television can also be booked as a bulky item.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free to Washington households at participating E-Cycle Washington collection sites, which are found by address, city or ZIP at ecyclewa.org; a badly damaged unit may be refused, and Waste Management quotes a console television as a separate bulky item.

Start with the hauler that serves the address

A 32 gallon unit lifted by hand is limited to 65 pounds and a larger cart lifted mechanically is limited to 180 pounds, and an extra bag or 32 gallon can that does not fit with the lid closed is charged separately.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Everett means the Snohomish County station on Minuteman Drive, which sits inside the city and takes garbage for disposal plus separated recyclables from residents. A load of 360 pounds or less is charged the flat minimum including tax and anything heavier is charged by weight at the scale house, paid by card, cash or check, and an uncovered load is charged more. The station is open every day from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closes on four holidays, and customers unload their own vehicles and bring their own brooms. Several streams leave this route entirely: electronics go free through E-Cycle Washington, refrigerant appliances go to the dealers the county names, yard and clean wood debris goes to a composting or clean wood site, and dangerous or moderate risk waste goes to the household hazardous waste station at 3434 McDougall Avenue, which is free for households and open Wednesday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Southwest station in Mountlake Terrace is the nearer option for the south Everett addresses Waste Management serves. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Everett.

How much does TV removal cost in Everett?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Everett?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Yes. E-Cycle Washington takes televisions, computers, laptops, monitors, tablets, e-readers and portable DVD players at no charge from Washington households, and the nearest collection site is found at ecyclewa.org. Keyboards, mice, printers, toner cartridges and cell phones are outside that program, but both Best Buy and Staples take them at no charge.Official guidance
