Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

The rate sheet charges general waste loads, a lower rate for a vehicle carrying only cement, asphalt, concrete, soil or rock, and per unit rates for cooling appliances, televisions and computer hardware, and per tire rates for small tire loads. Mixing restricted material with other refuse applies the highest applicable charge to the whole load and the landfill may refuse it, so a clean single stream trip costs less than a mixed one.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Walla Walla means one address for almost everything, because the city runs the landfill itself. The Sudbury Regional Landfill at 414 Landfill Road takes general waste loads, charges a lower per ton rate to a vehicle carrying only cement, asphalt, concrete, soil or rock, and prices cooling appliances, televisions and computer hardware, tires and building material separately, with every disposal fee carrying an additional state refuse tax and any restricted material mixed into a load pushing the whole load to the highest applicable charge. A household with current sanitation services gets one free load a year up to six hundred pounds including tax by surrendering a physical utility bill with the sanitation charge at the scale house, and that pass does not cover appliances with refrigerant, electronic devices, asbestos, tires, medical waste or compost and dirt sales. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility on the same site takes batteries and, within limits, paint, motor oil, sharps and mercury containing lights free from Walla Walla County residents, and the recycling drop box before the scale takes the curbside materials at no charge. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Walla Walla.

How much does TV removal cost in Walla Walla?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Walla Walla?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do old televisions and computers go in Walla Walla?

To the Sudbury Regional Landfill at 414 Landfill Road, where televisions and computer hardware are charged a published rate per item plus state refuse tax. The household hazardous waste facility on the same site lists computers and televisions among its fee based items, and the courtesy pass expressly does not cover electronic devices. Keep electronics out of the curbside containers, and take batteries to the hazardous waste facility where they are recycled free.Official guidance

What does it cost to get rid of a refrigerator or a television?

Both are paid items at the Sudbury Regional Landfill. A refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner with a compressor is charged a published rate per unit, and a television or computer hardware item is charged a published rate each, with an additional 3.6 percent Washington State refuse tax on disposal fees. The courtesy pass expressly does not cover appliances with refrigerant or electronic devices, so neither trip draws on the free annual load.Official guidance
