Will the city take it?
Beloit separates prepaid bulky-item and appliance pickup, resident recycling-center drop-off and seasonal yard collection. Confirm your address and the item category before payment or set-out.
Monthly designated yard collection takes prepared leaves, grass, garden debris and brush with the required stickers.
City cost & eligibility
$2 per bag, container or bundle sticker. Eligible City collection addresses during the posted monthly yard-waste weeks; the announced free fall leaf/grass/garden program has different terms.

Use your normal collection day during the posted yard week, with material ready by 6 a.m.
Get it ready
Use paper bags or clean containers of thirty-nine gallons or less, under sixty pounds. No plastic bags. Bundle brush within four feet long, four inches in branch diameter and four by two feet overall; keep three feet from trash.
Clean cardboard is accepted in household recycling and at the Recycling Drop Off Center.
City cost & eligibility
Ordinary recycling is part of the paid household program; accepted cardboard drop-off is listed without charge for eligible residents.

Recycling carts are collected every other week; the center normally opens Saturday morning.

Keep cardboard free of food, mildew and mold; break large pieces down to two feet by two feet and bundle or tie them. Keep cart lids substantially closed.

For residents of the City of Beloit, Town of Beloit and Turtle under the 2026 guide; confirm eligibility and documentation. Cash only for charged items. No chemicals, fluorescent lights, gasoline, liquid paint, yard waste, roofing shingles or truck/trailer loads of trash.

The 2026 resident schedule lists $15 per bulky item or appliance, $5 per electronic device or TV, $6 per accepted tire and $2 for bagged waste. Cash only. Accepted cardboard and other listed recyclables have no charge.

Can I book a pickup for today?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Your booking is for a pickup day, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Do my items need to be outside when I book?+
You can book while your items are still inside. Arrange any indoor carrying and have everything outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We load and haul it away from there. Contact us before booking if your property has restricted access.
Can I put a couch or mattress out on normal garbage day?+
Prepay and schedule the separate Wednesday bulk route first. Unscheduled furniture should not be placed at the curb. Construction material, electronics and tires are excluded.Official guidance
