The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Computers, computer accessories, radios, watches, cell phones and similar electronics recycled free at the Casper Regional Solid Waste Facility, and television screens and monitors accepted free for disposal from residential customers only, which the city states are not recycled.
When & how
Take the devices to 1886 Station Rd during the facility's regular hours, since electronics are handled on the household side of the site rather than at a depot.
Get it ready
Bring the item with its battery inside unless the battery is damaged, in which case bag it with kitty litter or sand, because rechargeable batteries are recycled free at the facility and the city treats a chargeable battery as never trashable. Wipe personal data before handover, and keep electronics out of the alley trash container, where compaction starts fires.
Metals of any kind, bicycles for the exchange area, yard waste such as grass, branches and garden material, electronics and batteries all have their own free streams at the solid waste facility, and television screens and monitors are taken free from residents for disposal rather than recycling. Household hazardous products such as paint, oil, aerosol cans and pesticides are dropped there free with no appointment. Recycling at the city's eight depots takes plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, paperboard, office paper, magazines and newspaper, and refuses clamshells, buckets, foil, other metals, styrofoam and packing peanuts.

Haul the load in on a facility pass
A Casper household with furniture, a mattress, an appliance or household material that will not fit the container, and a vehicle or trailer to move it.
Cost & conditions
No charge. The pass comes with the City of Casper utility account, so one covered load costs nothing extra at the gate. Households started with 13 passes from October 1, 2025 and then receive one a month, each expiring a year after the invoice date unless the property is sold, and a load longer than 10 feet needs two or more passes.
Arrange it
Secure the load, drive to 1886 Station Rd, and check in with the photo identification that matches the utility account during the Monday through Saturday window.
Tires, refrigerators and freezers are not pass eligible, an unsecured load is assessed fees, passes cannot be transferred between accounts, and the pass is only for City of Casper residential ratepayers rather than businesses, flippers or property managers.

Household trash in pass covered loads, construction and demolition material, furniture and mattresses, metals of any kind including aluminum foil, bicycles for the exchange area, electronics including computers, accessories, radios, watches and cell phones, television screens and monitors for free residential disposal, rechargeable and other recyclable batteries, yard waste such as grass, branches, garden material, shrubs and manure, household hazardous products such as paint, oil, aerosol cans and pesticides, and compost and wood chip products for sale.
Household loads need a solid waste facility pass tied to the City of Casper utility account and a matching government issued photo identification, passes cannot be transferred and businesses, flippers and property managers are excluded. Tires, refrigerators and freezers are not pass eligible, every load has to be secured or it is assessed fees, commercial and infectious waste, PCBs, oil filled transformers and capacitors, explosives and unstable chemicals are refused, and during the summer extended hours the landfill and baler building are closed with household trash moved to the construction dropoff area that does not allow trailers.
7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended hours for residential customers only from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from April 1 to September 30, and holiday hours of 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day

Pass covered household loads cost nothing extra at the gate because the pass arrives with the monthly utility bill, one pass covering a truck bed or trailer load of 10 feet or less, while tires, refrigerators and freezers are charged separately and larger projects use the published bin and roll off rates.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Casper?+

Does my old TV have to work?+
Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
