Answer sources: Phoenix residential disposal and permission rules
Check the route before moving the frame
- 1.Ask the property manager whether residents may place bed frames in the dumpster or must use a designated bulk area or collection day.
- 2.Confirm the waste hauler accepts the frame, including its material and size. Local rules can distinguish wood, plastic and metal furniture. For example, New York City uses different bulk routes based on furniture material, so do not assume another jurisdiction follows the same rule.
- 3.If the apartment dumpster is not approved, use the scheduled large-item route provided by the property or municipality and follow its placement instructions.

If you need an outdoor pickup
If the apartment or local route is unsuitable, Dropcurb can handle an accepted bed frame that is already outside and accessible, including loading, transportation and disposal. A regular metal, wood or platform bed frame is an approved item definition; mattresses and box springs are separate items. You can book before moving it outside, but it must be ready outdoors and accessible before pickup. If you need indoor carrying, use a service that includes that labor.
