The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Construction and renovation debris

Not on the regular city route

Both of the city's large item programs refuse dirt and concrete, the curbside cleanup and the dollar dump day both exclude them, and no city page names a landfill or transfer station for renovation material. Lodi publishes no city route for a project load.

City cost & eligibility
The city program lists no rate for construction or demolition material because both annual programs refuse dirt and concrete and neither page names a disposal site for the material. A private hauler or a licensed landfill quotes its own price for the load.
When & how
There is no city collection day for this material, so the load has to be arranged with a private hauler or taken to a site that accepts it on that site's own schedule.
Get it ready
Keep dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material and large heavy metals out of the cleanup pile and out of a dollar dump day load, because those are stated refusals at both. Confirm the receiving site's material rules before the load is loaded.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

The annual cleanup takes three carts worth, bagged and under 50 pounds

The free curbside cleanup usually runs in April. Residents may set out additional refuse up to the equivalent of three 64 gallon carts, and everything has to be bagged, bundled or boxed with each container weighing under 50 pounds. Dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes and large heavy metals such as auto bodies and engines are refused and should not go into the pile.

E-waste and household chemicals never go in a cart

Televisions, computers, printers, phones, stereos and electrical cords have been barred from the trash since February 9, 2006, and household hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, batteries, used oil, antifreeze and pesticides is illegal to put in the trash, down storm drains or on the ground. Both large item programs refuse cathode ray tubes, so the routes are the annual e-waste event, the annual household hazardous waste event and the county consolidation facility in Stockton.

With a new purchase

Arrange a private hauler for a project load

A household or contractor with dirt, concrete, roofing, tile or another renovation load that both of Lodi's annual programs refuse.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no price and no receiving site for renovation material, because both annual programs refuse dirt and concrete. A licensed hauler or container company quotes its own price for the box, the haul and the disposal, so confirm the load and the receiving site with the company before the work starts.
Arrange it
Contact a licensed hauler or container company, describe the material, and have the box delivered and collected on the company's own schedule.

Nothing from a project goes into the curbside cleanup pile or a dollar dump day load, and the city's solid waste desk at (209) 333-6706 answers questions about what the programs will take.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lodi's published self haul options are event based. Waste Management's transfer station on East Turner Road hosts the annual e-waste collection events and the annual household hazardous waste event, and it is also where the dollar dump day load goes, up to two cubic yards for a dollar with the voucher the city mails out before the March 15 to April 15 window. For household chemicals the standing option is the county consolidation facility at 7850 South R.A. Bridgeford Street in Stockton, open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 15 gallon or 125 pound trip limit. Everything else the city refuses at its programs, including dirt, concrete, tires on the dump day, cathode ray tubes and cooling appliances that still hold CFCs, has to be arranged with a private hauler or a site that accepts it, and the city's solid waste desk at (209) 333-6706 answers those questions. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lodi.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Lodi?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Lodi?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will Lodi take construction debris?

No. Dirt and concrete are refused at both the free curbside cleanup and the dollar dump day, and the city publishes no landfill or transfer station for renovation material. A project load needs a private hauler or a licensed site that accepts it, so confirm the material and the receiving location before the work starts.Official guidance

What is refused in Lodi's cleanup programs?

Dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes and large heavy metals such as auto bodies and engines are refused at the curbside cleanup. The dollar dump day refuses those plus commercial waste and tires, and both programs refuse refrigerators and air conditioners that still contain CFCs.Official guidance
