The bulky collection refuses liquids, dirt, rock, concrete, asphalt, hazardous or infectious waste, ashes, televisions, monitors and anything longer than six feet, and televisions and monitors are treated as hazardous waste instead. Batteries, paint, motor oil, sharps and electronic waste go to the Novato Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 7576 Redwood Blvd on a public collection day, where residents need no appointment, and household batteries can also go in a sealed clear bag on top of the blue recycling cart on collection day.
