When & how
Take tires to a county site while the gate is open, Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at San Timoteo Landfill in Redlands or on the Mid-Valley Landfill schedule in Rialto, and not on one of the six county holidays.
Get it ready
Keep the tires off the rim and rollable, and keep the load covered for the trip, because the county adds a charge that doubles the disposal fee for an uncovered or unsecured load. More than nine tires is a commercial load and needs a different arrangement.
Barrels and bulky items are at the curb by 6:00 a.m.
Place barrels in the street, at the curb or at the corner of the driveway with the handles facing the home, one foot apart and at least three feet from a mailbox, fence, vehicle or other obstruction. Set barrels out the night before or no later than 6:00 a.m. on the service day, because anything left behind waits for the next week.
Cover a self-hauled load or the county doubles the fee
San Bernardino County charges double for an uncovered or unsecured load at its landfills and transfer stations, so tarp and tie down anything headed to San Timoteo, Mid-Valley or another county site. Cash fees are rounded to the nearest whole dollar, and the sites close on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Where should I put my items?+
Use an accessible outdoor spot you are allowed to use, and follow the instructions in your confirmation. Keep sidewalks, entrances and vehicle access clear. You arrange any indoor carrying. For a loading dock or a short building access window, confirm the setup with our team before booking.
