Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Large household junk leaves two ways in Yucaipa: the scheduled curbside bulky collection, which takes up to five items on a separate truck, and a rented container from the same hauler for a clean-up that produces more material than that.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Barrel-serviced residential accounts inside the City of Yucaipa, up to four bulky collections of five items in a 12 month period, included with the residential account at no additional charge; a container rental is quoted separately by the hauler.
When & how
Schedule the curbside items with Yucaipa Disposal at least one week before a collection week. A rented container is delivered, stays for 21 days and is removed at the end of the rental, so it works for a clean-up that cannot wait for one of the four collection weeks.
Get it ready
Keep the curbside pile to five items and put it at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the collection day. Hazardous waste, tires, oil, paint and large amounts of dirt, rock, concrete or asphalt stay out of both the pile and a rented container, and anything left unscheduled waits for the next collection window.
Barrels and bulky items are at the curb by 6:00 a.m.
Place barrels in the street, at the curb or at the corner of the driveway with the handles facing the home, one foot apart and at least three feet from a mailbox, fence, vehicle or other obstruction. Set barrels out the night before or no later than 6:00 a.m. on the service day, because anything left behind waits for the next week.
Bulky items are collected on a separate truck during the second week of February, May, August and November, so call Yucaipa Disposal at least one week before the scheduled collection day. Keep hazardous waste, tires, oil and paint out of the pile, because those are refused and cannot go in a barrel either.
Cover a self-hauled load or the county doubles the fee
San Bernardino County charges double for an uncovered or unsecured load at its landfills and transfer stations, so tarp and tie down anything headed to San Timoteo, Mid-Valley or another county site. Cash fees are rounded to the nearest whole dollar, and the sites close on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Take the doors off a large appliance before set-out
Remove the doors and hinges from a refrigerator, freezer, oven or similar unit before it goes to the curb, and keep the cord and loose parts with the appliance. A refrigerator that goes to a county site instead has to arrive with no Freon left in it, so settle which route the unit is taking when the collection is booked.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

21-day clean-up container from Yucaipa Disposal
A garage, yard or estate clean-out that produces more material than five bulky items can clear.
Cost & conditions

Arrange it
Order the container from Yucaipa Disposal, which delivers it, leaves it on site for the 21-day rental and removes it at the end, with larger bins available when a three cubic yard bin is too small.
Hazardous waste, tires and large amounts of dirt, rock, concrete or asphalt cannot go in the container. The container sits on the property rather than in the street, and it is not part of the four free bulky collection weeks.

Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Yucaipa.
How much does bulk junk removal cost in Yucaipa?+
A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.
Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.
Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?+
Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?+
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.
How does a clean-up get rid of more than five items?+
Order a container from Yucaipa Disposal. The hauler offers large and small containers for residential clean-ups and special projects, delivered and removed with a 21-day rental period, but tires, hazardous waste and large amounts of dirt, rock, concrete or asphalt are refused and no rate is published, so the container is quoted when the order is placed.Official guidance
Who collects trash in Yucaipa?+
Yucaipa Disposal, Inc., part of Burrtec Waste Industries, collects trash, recycling and green waste once a week from single-family homes inside the City of Yucaipa and runs the bulky item program on a separate truck. Residential collection is mandatory and the charges are billed on the annual property tax roll.Official guidance
How many bulky items does a Yucaipa household get in a year?+
Four collections in a 12 month period with up to five items in each collection, scheduled in the second week of February, May, August and November. Furniture, appliances, mattresses and electronic waste are the named items, a separate truck makes the pickup, and the program comes with the residential account at no additional charge.Official guidance
How far ahead does a bulky pickup have to be booked?+
Call Yucaipa Disposal at least one week before the scheduled collection day. Items belong at the curb rather than in the street, out by 6:00 a.m., and the unscheduled pile that sits at the curb waits for the next collection window because the bulky truck only takes what was arranged.Official guidance
When can a Yucaipa household take its own load to the county landfill?+
Self-haul loads are accepted at San Timoteo Landfill, 31 Refuse Road in Redlands, Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at Mid-Valley Landfill, 2390 Alder Avenue in Rialto, Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both sites close on the six county holidays, and an uncovered or unsecured load doubles the disposal fee.Official guidance
