Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Miami-Dade County's Home Chemical Collection Centers accept electronic items free from residential customers, including computer monitors and televisions, personal computers, keyboards, hard drives and printers, VCRs, audio and video equipment and communication equipment such as cellular telephones and hand-held radios. Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the Supercan, the recycling bin and the bulky pile, and keep batteries out of the recycling bin because the city lists them as a contaminant.

Right item.
Right place.

Chemicals, paints and batteries stay out of the cans and the pile

Paints, acids and propane tanks must go to a Miami-Dade Home Chemical Collection Center rather than the Supercan or the bulky pile, and the Supercan also refuses dirt, sod, liquids, rocks, concrete, toxic or flammable materials, construction debris, dead animals, roofing materials, leaves, grass, clippings, branches, metal and wood. Batteries are named as a recycling contaminant and must stay out of the recycling bin.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Homestead keeps household material on the zone schedule and sends chemicals to the county. Garbage, recycling and bulky waste each have their own days, and the bulky route takes large items and yard waste up to ten cubic yards, set out one day before the pickup and five feet clear of obstacles, with stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers and water heaters named among the appliances and refrigerator and freezer doors removed first. Construction debris, tires, paints, liquids, dirt, sod, rocks, concrete and roofing material are refused on both the Supercan and the bulky pile. Household chemicals and electronics are not a city route: they go to Miami-Dade County's Home Chemical Collection Centers, and the South Dade center sits inside Homestead at 23707 SW 97th Ave, Gate B, open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., free for residents and closed to businesses, with some products available back through the Chem Again program. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Homestead.

How much does TV removal cost in Homestead?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Homestead?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Homestead televisions and computers go?

To a Miami-Dade County Home Chemical Collection Center, free for residential customers. The South Dade center is inside Homestead at 23707 SW 97th Ave, Gate B, open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it takes monitors, televisions, computers, keyboards, hard drives, printers, audio and video equipment and communication equipment.Official guidance
