Answer sources: Dell Reconnect consumer computer recycling
Check each item before you take it
- 1.Find a participating Dell Reconnect collection site rather than assuming every Goodwill has the program.
- 2.Check the program’s accepted computer equipment list and ask the site about your exact item. Computers, laptops and printers do not establish acceptance of TVs or kitchen appliances.
- 3.Remove personal data from computer devices before the handoff and confirm the site’s current donation hours.
How Dropcurb fits
For accepted leftovers such as a laptop, desktop computer or box of small electronics already outside and accessible, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. You can book before moving items outside, but they must be ready in an accessible outdoor location before pickup. If you need indoor carrying, use a service that includes it.
