How the Office Depot box process works
Choose a Tech Recycling Box that can hold your items. Pack only listed electronics, leave the box unsealed, and make sure it closes. Bring it to an Office Depot store for inspection before processing.
Check the limits before you go
The small box supports up to 20 pounds. Broken monitors, leaking or contaminated equipment, refrigerant appliances, and kitchen appliances such as toasters are excluded. Ink and toner reward returns are a separate program from the Tech Recycling Box.
For whole printers, check the printer-specific box requirements; empty toner cartridges follow their own return process.
When Dropcurb fits
For an accepted unwanted printer, computer monitor or laptop that is already outside and accessible, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. You can book before moving the item outside, but it must be ready at the outdoor pickup location before collection; indoor carry-out is not available.
