The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Drive to the Hennepin County Recycling and Transfer Station at 8100 Jefferson Highway N. in Brooklyn Park, Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Sunday, Monday and the listed county holidays.
Get it ready
Check whether the retailer or the county facility will take your exact device, wipe personal data where the device powers on, and stay in your vehicle at the county facility with the screen carried in the trunk, truck bed or a trailer.

Large appliances are $15 each. Mattresses and box springs are $25 each item, Brooklyn Park only. Other electronics, household hazardous waste, recycling and organics carry no charge, and electronics are limited to five items of the same type per year.

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
