Get a text when your hauler is on the way and photos when the job is done. With your TV outside and accessible, you don’t need to stay home for pickup.
The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

A pickup day is not an exact arrival appointment. If your building allows only a short loading window, contact us before booking to confirm a workable plan.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

Televisions are listed for residential bulky pickup. MRC also offers a separate recycling drop-off route.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Kansas City, Missouri residents in single-family homes or apartment buildings with six units or fewer, for accepted items listed on a confirmed bulky appointment. Business waste is excluded.
When & how
Book a weekday appointment through the City bulky scheduler or 311 before setting anything out.
Get it ready
List the TV and provide its type; contact 311 about unusual size or damage before setting it out.
Book no more than 15 items. Keep items under 500 pounds; confirm any item at the weight boundary with 311. Set out after 3 p.m. the previous day and by 7 a.m. on pickup day, within three feet of the curb and at least four feet from carts. Keep cars, branches and wires clear.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Flat-screen, CRT, console and projection televisions.
Public weekday drop-off; businesses and large loads should call 816-479-2949 for pricing. No hazardous waste, liquids, broken CRT glass, tanks or cylinders. Keep furniture and mattresses out of this recycling load.
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; no appointment needed. Closed most major holidays.
From $20 per television at MRC. Flat-screen televisions cost $20 each; CRT TVs 26 inches or smaller cost $30; CRT TVs 27 inches or larger, console and projection sets cost $50. No broken CRT glass. Confirm business or large-load pricing.

How much does TV removal cost in Kansas City?+
A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.
Can I get same-day TV pickup in Kansas City?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.
Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?+
You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.
Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?+
Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.
Does my old TV have to work?+
Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
Where can I recycle a television instead of using bulky pickup?+
MRC’s Kansas City location accepts TVs for recycling. Rates vary by screen type and size; broken CRT glass is not accepted.Official guidance
